Con Funk Shun released this song back in 1982. It was already a banger back then. Silk Sonic came with it 40 years later and enhanced it! Loving everything Silk Sonic is putting out. Powerful R&B music!! One of the original members of Con Funk Shun said he was very pleased and honored with this Silk Sonic release.

As soon as I saw this dropped. I was immediately transported back to 1982 when the original came out. The love I feel for this version matches how I feel for ConFunkShun's eternal classic. I'm happy Silk Sonic gifted it to us on Valentine's Day. They completed my day in a way I didn't know I needed.

It's Old School, by ConFunkShun-Love's Train. The part you couldn't understand was (Righteous Lover not grandma) lol. Silk Sonic did this with more HEARTFELT and SENSUAL! I love their version more than the original and I am old school! Silk Sonic is GOAT!! These fellas are in their own class!!🔥🔥🔥

PROFESSIONAL ENTERTAINERS - not the mess thrown up against the wall by these rappers. Making records in an hour. This is professionally crafted. A song that I havent heard in decades by a group that I love - CONFUNKSHUN! the Engineer on this song and the Brass Section! is #perfection

This awesome outfit (on this track in particular) has something of The Brothers Johnson about their sound, and that's high praise indeed, the original masters of funk and life long favourite. When I first listened to An Evening With Silk Sonic, I could hardly believe my ears, utter perfection.

Great reaction as always Jon!!! HOPEFULLY YOU SEE THIS COMMENT - in case you didn’t know - Anderson is playing 2 UK shows in the summer, 26th June in London and 1st July in London! There’s also a Dublin date I think. It’s an outdoor event as part of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers tour and 3 or 4 bands playing! Anderson Paak and Thundercat are on the bill - I’m not a big Chilli peppers fan but will be at the Glasgow show just for Andy and Thundercat lol!!!

It's a good remake of a group called Confunkshun. Bruno is definitely giving this young generation a taste of old school music. 70's and Early 80's had some mean groups back in the day.
