No Limit protected Snoop and saved his career. Da Game Is To Be Sold, Not To Be Told got so much hate but that album isn’t bad at all. It was just a different approach/sound.

No Limit had us in the record store buying new music every single Tuesday for 2 years. No record label has done that since 😎

I vividly remember watching snoops first performance when on no limit and me and my friend spoke on how much happier and free he looked.

At the age of 10 I would go to the cd store with my mother & she would buy me a no limit cd if she could. I was obsessed with the artworks & album cases. We went to Best Buy and see Snoop Dogg, Big Ed, Kane & Abel, Magic, Master P, etc. When 504 Boyz came out I didn't know KLC & P parted ways. I was looking for the coming soon albums but they never came out.

Your strategy of starting with Tupac, then expanding to Death Row, and slowly expanding is crazy smart. Keep up the good work.

That 1st snoop album was dope I remember getting that soon as it dropped. And that album cover was one of the best No Limit covers of that whole era. The 2nd album was dope too No Limit Top Dogg. People forget Just Dippin was on that 🔥

As a guy from L.A. I can say the south is very different, in a good way. I've never seen so many people speak to you in the streets, how welcoming and polite the people are and so Humble. In the west it's the total opposite, all mean Muggs nobody speaking, so competitive

I actually enjoyed the first and second LPs that Unc did for No Limit. It was such a thrill buying a No Limit LP and then opening the booklet to see who'd be coming next. I'm still not over what happened to No Limit around 1999. I need closure, dammit!

After Dre leaving and Tupac death, Snoop definitely needed some fresh air and to be in another environment. No Limit was there for him to help him reset.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the first time Snoop collaborated with No Limit was on Mystikal's Unpredictable album, the song "Gangstas." If you look in the liner notes, it says Snoop appears courtesy of DeathRow Records.

Honestly, I look at Snoop's tenure with No Limit as an extended vacation from the BS going on at Death Row. Pac got killed, Dre jumped ship to go and start Aftermath, and everyone else left behind was gonna sink or swim. Da Game Is To Be Sold was a half decent LP as Snoop was trying to mix some G-Funk with some N.O. gumbo flava. Top Dogg is Snoop Dogg got back to his LA roots and headed back to LB to reinvent some of that West Coast G Shyt
