Silted to Silky Restoring a Stream’s Hidden Pipeline flow

28 күн бұрынIn this unusual one. we find ourselves called to de-silt a culvert stream and find a pipeline that was hidden from us under a soil plastered wall.
We used the mud sucker to remove as much silt as we could and managed about 2-3 ft of silt.
we jetted the pipes lines to clean and clear them and establish a good clear passage for the water to flow through, cutting through the dirt and roots that had taken over.
There were many issues along the way but we achieved the customers goal and more.
This is out first time with 2 cameras and im very happy with how it turned out. lets hope for many more to come

The past couple of jobs you have done recently have been really interesting to watch Jamie, it’s also quite rare to come across an underground spring running through someone’s garden as well! Nice to see that you have also started using two go-pro’s so we can see two different angles, perhaps you could split the screen by having a smaller video in the corner and alternate between the two different angles whenever you do an unblock, think that would be a really good idea! All the best, looking forward to the next one 👍🏻

its been a basic manhole with low entry /exit then had a extra outlet fitted higher to make it a silt trap , below the yellow plastic on ditch bottom theres the old clay sanitary pipe remains , a plastic smooth pipe has less chance of blocking, as theres a 6inch and 4 inch coming in to manhole probably a 6 inch pipe outlet behind the square lower hole bricks missing

The problem with thin ribbed pipe is root go through it very very very very easy, no water flow more often than not means ROOTS,........Ribbed pipe does fill with dirt really easy too, poly pipe is the best for water flow.

I believe it was perforated pipe on purpose to take ground water as the garden was prone to flooding. But yes perforated pipe running through trees, not a great combo. I think she mentioned she has this done every few years but not to the extent we did it.

Interesannter Auftrag! Bei einen Bach, der in unterirdisch laufendes Rohr geleitet. Den Putzschacht und auch das Rohr reinigen. Interesannte Konstrucktion den Schlamm mit Hilfe von zusätzlichen Wasser über Schlauch abpumpen und in Hecke rinnen zu lassen. Teile der Aufnahmen mit der neuen Camera. Rohrreinigung schwer ds verschlammt, und Construion unbekannt. Im Putudvhacht ein Abflussrohr am Boden.! Aber ein zweites im oberen Drittel. Beide Rohre unterirdisch vereint. Oberes Rohr als Überlauf gedacht. Mit viel Mühe Schacht und Rohr gereinigt. Gute Arbeit. Würde aber mehr Eadser6 zur Spülung verwenden. 👍

The hose was a little short of the bushes so we had to aim high to get the arch into the bush. customer didnt want it running down the garden

Why not just lay the discharge pipe on the ground??? Or discharge into the wheel barrel silt will stay and water flow over... I was starting to wonder why your shirt had my name on it, then I remembered we have the same name DUH!!! SO WHAT THE HELL WAS THE SQUARE HOLE FOR AT THE BOTTOM???

My very first thoughts were just that but I know the water comes out too quick and the ends would be dancing around all over the place, it would have been carnage 😂 and it was more sludge then silt at times. 😂😂 I get confused sometimes when people call me by name who I have never met and it takes a while to click that I have my work T-shirt on 😂

@@mitchybooooy I think the stream that runs behind the property in the woodland. He stream wasn’t always there, she extended the stream off her boundary into her garden because she wanted it for looks.

thats done on purpose. its called a catch pit. the silt that flows in stays on the bottom and silt free water flows out higher up.

so this is mainly for ground water. The exit at the bottom is a Channel for the water table to follow through the garden as the water table is very high and the garden would flood however it was put in very low and gets blocked with silt and sludge. The pipe at the top was put in to Channel the water to a stream as the lower pipe wasn’t functioning correctly. The pipe at the top shouldn’t get silt and sludge as it’s much higher. The top pipe is also a perforated pipe so on the way to the stream water from the land can leak into it helping to keep the garden from flooding. We didn’t know that was the case in the beginning and thought it was the bottom pipe going to the stream so we tried to clean the passage to the stream. We later discovered the configuration and modifications.
