The longer you stack, the less the price action in the metals will impact you. Remember, Silver & Gold will not hedge inflation immediately, at least not typically. They hedge best, the longer that you hold them. The GSR is right around 75 or 76 right at the moment, so you might want to think about trading in your Silver for some fractional Gold if it goes much lower. If you were to have to leave your location and you can only take what you can carry, you're going to want to have some really dense wealth that you can stuff into a pocket along with a bunch of Mercury dimes. Fractional 22k is a good way to do that. Whatever you do, keep buying regularly for as long as you can. You can buy more Silver for cheaper by purchasing 40% and 35% Silver in half dollars and war nickels, but keep in mind that it's MUCH HARDER to get a good price for them when you try to sell. Why do you think they are cheap? It's because no one really wants to buy them. Why is that? Because ultimately, most of that stuff is eventually going to go to the refiner, when it's finally sold back directly to the refiner or to a major wholesaler, and the refineries don't like the lower purity Silver because it costs them a lot more money to refine 40% and 35% Silver than it does for them to refine 80%, 90%, or bullion. Having a lot of canned meat is good advice. Avoid too much Tuna or Sardines, as eating that too often can lead to Mercury poisoning, but focus on Chicken, Beef, SPAM, Vienna sausages, etc... Not the best stuff to eat, but it's better than not having food. I always purchase some amount of freeze dried food each month. That'll allow me to supplement my deep pantry with other foods, and if I needed to leave or evacuate, I could take several months worth of food without a huge amount of weight. Try lugging 2 or 3 months worth of canned food, and you'll know exactly what I mean. For 1/20th the weight, I can get that same amount of freeze-dried food in my vehicle. Also, it's a good idea to keep physical cash outside of the banking system. In a crisis, you don't want to show up at a bank or ATM, only to see that everything is shut tight and will not re-open for weeks or months. Start using cash, and when you break bills, keep any good condition bills to put in your stash. Try to keep it to $20s, $10s, $5s, and some $1s. It's also a good idea to have a few handfuls of regular coins too, because if banks are shut, businesses won't necessarily have the ability to give you back your change. So they might say, you can only buy if you have exact change or if you're paying in small bills. Keep your head up...we'll be okay, if we keep steady and stay focused on making wise decisions while everyone else is making stupid ones. Lock arms with the like-minded, and keep stacking!

Is stacking silver certificates worth it? Other than just numismatic value (made up value). Numismatics scare me because it’s totally subjective and depends on popularity.
