Watercolour paper 300 gms rough 9 x 9 inches painting on 10 x 14 paper block.
PAINTS:
W&N watercolours: Ultramarine, Burnt Sienna & Quinacridone Gold.
Alternatives: Cobalt Blue, Light Red & Raw Sienna.
BRUSHES:
Round Size 2, 4, 10 & 14 Silver Brushes
Flat 1 1/2 inch Brush
Kitchen Towel.
Framing Tape.
Plastic card.

Beautiful result, thank you! I was wondering though if you considered adding some cast shadows from the birch trees to 'anchor' them to where they stand. I realize the photo did not have this, but felt that the light was a bit different in your painting. Just wondering.

You could use raw, sienna, yellow ochre or any yellow.

Hi! I didn't like it because the sun paints the snow and the left side of the birch trees orange in the photo..... I would have used fluorescent orange or metallic orange... it's still beautiful,
