That vegetable dish is super cool. I don't find much religious imagery in silver plate, so it was pretty cool to see. Too bad there wasn't a maker.
Tiffany sits around for a long time before she sells, so I just feel she is more of a good omen than anything these days. At least it's the kind of maker that if you ever need a quick sale, you can discount it, and then you'll get vultures on you like you're about to die of thirst. You didn't think I was talking about an actual person in my introduction, did you? Oh boy, you haven't stuck around for long if you made that mistake.
One thing - the actual age of the pieces by Charles Howard is late 1800s, early 1900s most likely, not 1940s. Not sure why I thought that, probably because the pseudo-mark of the standing lion and made in England seemed really modern to me, but the craftsmanship reminded me more of something made earlier, so it was confusing.
