Silver, son of Giovanni of Team Rocket, is your rival in Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal. He steals a Pokemon from Professor Elm at the start of the game and is generally mean and brutish to the player. He has a bad relationship with his father as he lost to Trainer Red from the previous title, and was on the path to prove his dad and everyone else that he's the best trainer. He also doesn't take good care of his Pokemon, reprimanding them whenever they don't win against the player. However he learns to be a better person at the end of the game. In later games, he appears in in remake of the games, Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver as well as in Pokemon Masters
Jimmy Hopkins, high school delinquent, is of Rockstar Games' Bully. At the start of the game, he is shown to have a distaste for his new stepfather and thus leading to his parents leaving him at Bullworth High School whilst they go on a cruise. At the school he makes friends with Gary, which later turns out to be the antagonist at the end of the game, and the often bullied, Pete. Throughout the game, Jimmy uses violence and his earned status to gain the respect from all the cliques at Bullworth. However at the end, that notoriety slowly fizzles out in favor of a well-natured Jimmy.
