Thank the lord I grew up in that era. Kids today don’t know what they missed out on. They could watch it on line or dvd, but their was just something about coming home from school and sitting in front of your tv and watching these awesome shows. Or just waking up Saturday mornings eating your favorite cereal , sitting in front of your tv and watching those Saturday morning cartoon shows👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

Say it again brother! After the cartoons went off, I would always fall asleep, and my mom would have fresh baked cookies when I woke up! Man, I miss those days. I showed my nephews and nieces all of these cartoons on KZfaq now I'm the coolest uncle ever! The only question I have to ask now is are they going to do the show right?!

That could have saved the show and it probably was planned for the second or third season to have them cross over with the ThunderCats but when they found out that it was slipping and ratings they should have pulled the trigger and did a two-part crossover episode with the ThunderCats basically explaining that they had been in outer space in the limbo Galaxy so long that the destruction of Earth took place and they didn't return home until 3rd Earth and they should have went toe to toe against the ThunderCats until they found out the ThunderCats were good guys

Personally I would love to see MAPPA, A1 Pictures, Production I.G. or Madhouse do the reboot. Hopefully the writers will not deviate from the original series.

@@GMoneyXL1969 I don't know about not deviating. Those old cartoons were made for kids. I would hope they adult-ify them just a bit. They don't have to go Bleach's Thousand Year Blood arc but something a bit more adult than what they were.

I'm pleasantly surprised by this news of a Silverhawks reboot. I worked on the tail end of the original series during my tenure at Rankin/Bass, mostly calling retakes on animation footage. Even while working on it, I wasn't a big fan of the series. I had just finished working on the Galaxy Rangers series, so the SilverHawk's style of sci-fi seem too childish. That said, looking at it today, with a nod toward the success of Guardians of the Galaxy, it might be the right time for the return of the Silverhawks.

Oh wow. Some of the script was a little silly looking back on it, but I loved the series as a kid and alway wanted to see this and the related series, thunder cats, come together. Got a small peek at that during the TC reboot. This might just be the right time if done properly. Thank you for your work on the series. The 10 year old me is screaming while jumping up and down. 😂

This will never happen I have given up on the shows from when I was a kid Thundercats, Silverhawks, M.A.S.K always hear about "movies" coming out but nothing ever happens. If it did happen it should join the MCU I know the amount of crap that would have to happen but it would still be cool to see them as part of the GOTG.

Silver Hawks was crazy when I was a kid...the CRAZY part is alot of people my age DON'T even remember them! Im talking about dudes that used to sit on the living room floor in front of the tv...WITH our SilverHawk toys! Im glad to see this project as a possibility, I hope it doesn't get scrapped.

That was and is 1 of my favorite all time cartoons to watch of the 80s I swear I had that comic book twice. My cousin took my first 1 and mom bought me another. Anyways I think I saw every episode and most a few times growing up. I'd love to see that again. There's a space for that type of cartoon now.

I liked Thundercats but I loved Silver Hawks. The shark show was not my style. Silver Hawks had great art, voice work, stories, characters, and arc. The key problem was the action figures.

WOW this is absolutely fantastic news! Growing up in the 80s..this was one of my fav cartoons along w/The ThunderCats. I talk about this cartoon often but not many ppl...say for 1 or 2 here and there...even remember it. I had the action figures as well and luvd them! Would be great to hear the original voice actors reprise their roles if at all possible. Same goes for The ThunderCats...absolute CLASSICS back in our day! I can't wait for this to happen.💯

Silverhawks was G-Force/Gatchaman in space. Right down to their weird speech little guyCopper Kid = Keyop), stay at home (base) computer guy(Commander Stargazer=Dr. Nanbu), and even the over all shape of the space ship (the Mirage=the Phoenix). ...and I LOVED it!

It will be really interesting to see if it will become a live action feature film, but I should also like to see the Thundercats be made into a live action film aswell. I hope that it doesn't flop like Judge Dredd though & the characters are full on badass especially the Villains & Monstarr is extremely mercilessly brutal & a villain that strikes fear into all who serve & oppose him. as all characters have to show themselves to be formidable.

I was fortunate to being an 80s kid who grew up with awesomely created cartoon series that were way ahead of their time in terms of animation and storylines. Silver Hawks was one of my favourites after Thundercats. The other great ones that need a live action movie are in my opinion: Bravestarr, Bionic 6, MASK, Captain Power, Thundarr the Barbarian, Biker Mice from Mars. These were the pantheon of Saturdays for me. Kids today are given nonsense compared to the gems of the 80s

OMG I hope they reboot a animation of SilverHawks! I LOVED this show and still do. My kids whom are 25 & 21 were raised on the cartoons I grew up to. Including Thundercats and SilverHawks. If they do don the animation version, let’s hope they don’t go the way the “New She-Ra and ThunderCats went. Even the new Scooby Doo cartoons are terrible in animation. 😢

It’s probably closer to Gatchaman/Battle of the Planets, in terms of the “bionic”/enhanced heroes. Bird-like costumes and the main ship was a Phoenix. Five characters. Jason, Tiny, Keop and Princess were the side characters. Mark as the leader. Will be interesting to see what comes of this.
