awesome to see your work flo on this - do you have some insights and wisdom on getting a floor pure white and look natural - ive been selecting and clipping it with levels for that commercial white look but its not always looking right

Dustin thanks for the great videos. I love the simplicity you offer and the ways to composite. I came from old school with a 4x5 and trying to set up lots of lights and did not enjoy it. Your approach is much more enjoyable. Would please verify why do you utilize a light stand vs a table. I searched your videos to understand the thought process. I believe I understand the benifit when shooting individual bottles as the light is not reflecting. Floors are perfectly level and it does not appear that you have stability issues. Thank you

Thank you! The reason I often use a light stand as my table, is I appreciate the flexibility in height & rotation, as well as the floating effect when I bring strip-lights right up next to smaller shooting surfaces. The steel plate that fits the common light stand (workphlo.shop/s) is 10" x 6" so I often use it with smaller surfaces, though if I went much larger I would use 2 or a table! I’m photographing a metal sculpture around 2 feet tall by 1 feet wide. Would you suggest a similar setup?

To wake the metals up, you need to follow the angle of incidence from the lens to the reflective metal product, and project the best place to have some diffusion! It may be from the front or a butterfly 45 diffusion setup if the statue reflects frontwardly. Best of luck!
