Sim City 4 is an epic game, that is made even better using some mods. This video will tell you some cool mods to get which can enhance your cities and make things really interesting.
In my opinion NAM is essential for Sim City 4 as the official game has some significant issues with public transport.
Place/install all mods into, Program Files(x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Sim City 4 Deluxe/Plugins
If this doesn't work, there is the possibility the game is looking for the mods in the documents folder- place here

May Dad bought me Sim City 4 with the Rush Hour Expansion Pack more than 10 years ago but I wasn't a gamer back then. I'm ending my 2017 learning about this game as a beginner. After watching KZfaq for tutorials and tips, I came across your video and the list you included. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!!!!

thank you so much for this Video. I just got sim City 4 (oh the fond memories of simcity 3k one of my first vid games ever) and this is exactly what I was hoping for-- Relevant and good Information, well narrated. Once in a while I watch a KZfaq vid which I appreciate so much that I'll spend 5 minutes watching 30 seconds of 5 more Videos of the user to thumb up (i wont thumb bad ones, but if i get a good Impression of the poster, then this is the least i can do to share my appreciation), and this was one of those vids. Thank you for enlightening me to this. I have always hated how the designers of the game seem to be so vehemently opposed to anyone having the freedom to build their city as the please and unleash unlimited creativity. You have provided me with the knowledge to overcome their oppression lol.

I would like to make a SimCity game that combines the best of games 3 and 4. Gameplay is like SimCity 4, but adding different city themes as well as terrain themes (including stuff from certain mods into vanilla).

The NAM mod didn't work for me and neither did the fire mod. Since I installed the ordinance mod (which does work btw), the financial advisor keeps coming up in red and the message says On:ToggleAllOrdinance (). How can I stop this because it is VERY annoying!

your city looks amazing but with all these mods that allow you to plonk one building down to cover your whole map at low cost, i can see why

The city does look amazing yes and though the mods helped me do it, it can easily be done with out them, it just takes alot more work. For example, if you want a large city like these, you need to build other cities around it and link them up. That takes some time.....but I have done it many times in the past. ty for watching

Nice bro! I play up to this day. The mods give a new life and better functionality to the game. The only problem I noticed is when I start the city there is a huge demand to agricultural zones, I assume the demand is equal to the people education

@@PiperTMTotalWar hey there. I tried Skylines but played for maybe 1 hour, I felt difficult to get use with the interface tools, the building method as well. Everything looked much complex than it should be, perhaps because I played simcity for many years and get used to its playing method. Do you play Skylines ?

@@Zhaoimex I have not played skylines but have seen several videos of gameplay. I agree it does look quite significantly different! Sim City 4 is a gold standard in building games, many people still say it is the best one.

I used to play the game alot years ago without mods. You don't need them, but it adds to the game imo.

true, simcity 4 is a complicated game, atleast for me. sometimes it can get very boring just having it by it's self and not watching things grow. i use the money trees a lot for a lot of stuff :) i just like watching the cities build up and then connect :)

I will get the landfill mode. I hate putting very large landfills only to see them be full in minutes.

@Yanick mods are literally modifications. One does not have to Play with them. They are a tool which can be used to make the game easier or more difficult, simpler or more complex, more enjoyable or unplayable, etc. I too thought, woah 50 simoleans, that seems way too cheap, however one can compensate by spending more taxes on firetrucks if this is the way one feels. The inexpensiveness allows for the freedom to choose between minimal expensive or whatever one feels is appropriate, as opposed to enforcing high expenses (which, like said, one can still choose to Pay); lastly, it seems likely that the expenses saved are nearing an irrelevant amount at the Point where one has built their City to the extent where the Need for space becomes great enough to wish oneself to be able to better utilize space otherwise needed for civil Buildings. Most importantly, this is not a competition against other Players, i.e choosing to use mods to achieve whatever desired purpose, is not done so at the expense of any other Player.

I use the money tree and what I do is before I build my city, I plop down the money tree and fast forward a month in the game. In a matter of a few seconds, I'll have more money than I'll ever need. Then I tear it down and proceed to building. I never have to worry about money ever again.

Don't put your big city stuff in that big box, in real life that box is parts of Brooklyn and Queens, and those areas in the big box are more residential. You know where Manhattan is on the map? You build your big stuff there, and also in Downtown Brooklyn. You can do it out in Jersey City too, there's lots of high rises and commercial areas. Just hit up Google Maps and you'll get the geography down and it'll help you know where to build stuff. Thanks for sharing your video. -New Yorker and fellow SC4 player

the NAM is mostly draggable networks, but theres so much content in the NAM that you may want to watch some tutorials. TarkusSC4 has many on his channel

I'm so confused.. because Super Demand and Radical Ordinance.. i read Radical Ordiance .. "The Super Demand ordinance didn't allow you"... What does mean it?? is it incompatibility "Super Demand"?

It's been a very long time since I played sim city 4 so not entirely sure what the answer to your question is. From my recollection the super demand mod enabled cities to reach their full capacity resulting in more productivity and better looking or bigger buildings.

No,the installation was fine,but after I unzip the files and extract them to the "plugins" folder and start the game it won't work :(

The money tree is the better mod.. You drop it anywhere, and wait for a week or month ingame for your income to come through, and boom you'll have a fortune, then just delete the tree. If you keep the tree it'll crash the game.. But deleting it when you're satisfied won't affect gameplay negatively whatsoever

Pretty useful mods, but is pretty unrealistic the one big police station mod. Imagine taking care of a city of quarter million people with only one office, doest matter if this precint have more policemen, patrol cars and offices, how they care of the cases in the edges of a city? how they arribe quick in a emergency case? Thats is why the big capitals in the world divided itself in crimes districts that each police station work it on.

Some of these mods are cheats and some like NAM are not. What is the fun in cheating? Don't you want a more challenging experience?

Like I have said countless times before, I played many hours on this game years ago and built entire regions without using mods. It's not difficult to do. The mods add something extra to the game, use them or not it's up to you.
