@@felistusnekesa6407 if you have never come across the ideology that a good woman should submissive , then you are winning. I have heard it said (usually in a religious context) that wives should be submissive to their husbands. So in this song, she is mocking that by asking if her/women are homeworks/courseworks/assignments that need to be submitted.

The choreography, the outfit, the message and synonymising Water and women is spirituality at highest level. Nobody can survive without water. You cannot do without woman. She really had her Yoruba spirituality reflected in the music. Oya, Oshun, Oba were primordial Yoruba women symbolising fertility, production and abundance. This is not music for music sake. This is art and spirituality. Tiwa Savage inspired with collaboration with Brandy. ❤❤❤❤🇬🇧

@genuinediasporan6661
@genuinediasporan6661 2 жыл бұрын
@@lusciousvids901 Yoruba people believed in reincarnation. Primordial Sango is not the same with deitified Sango Alaafin known as Sango Jakuta. The same with his supposedly wives. Anybody who displayed a certain triats of primordial ancestor was seeing as reincarnation of the ancestors. Yemoja. Known in Americas like South America as Yemaya is the orisha of the surface of the ocean. She is the other half of Olokun, sometimes a sister and sometimes a wife (sometimes, both deities are androgynous). While Olokun is the Keeper of Secrets and rules over the depths of the ocean, Yemaya presides over the surface waters. So. Oba, Oshun and Oya are for rivers while Yemoja and Olokun are for the sea. River Niger in Yoruba land is Known as Oya.

Dear, Simi, Legendary! Beautiful what you have done with Baba Fela's classics. It's amazing that we can have this level of sensitivity and consciousness in afrobeat. I know you know, Baba Fela was not just a great musician skill-wise, his art spoke volumes on political and societal shenanigans, you have resurrected his legacy in addressing something that's not talked about well enough - the injustice that women have had to go through for long enough. Inshallah, this piece goes miles in aiding us in seeing as ourselves as who we are, humans. A tad distinct in our functionalities, but still, collectively, humans; the female not gazing to the floor as though she is inferior and any less of a person, the male not garmented in machismo, seeing himself as a superhuman that deserves the homage of the women in his life. I love Woman, thank you for putting it out. Your Fan, today and whenever; Josh.
