It took about 2.5 seasons, 100 trips or 800 hours of fishing for waders to start leaking. I think the SIMMS Guide Classic Wader got its money's worth and it's not over yet. And what is most important - not a single glued seam leaked water. Water got inside only through the micro-holes that I created myself while walking in the bushes, on slopes and everywhere where a human foot has never been. I am very happy with the these waders.

They won't be as durable, it's still the cheapest version of Simms. But I think the seams will last longer than other manufacturers

I have a pair of G3s which have lasted more than 3 years without leaking, except for a couple of punctures. That is much better than all other brands I have tried..........

I'm a casual fisherman, these things would last me 10 yrs, or dry rot before then LOL.

What is your opinion on choosing cheaper brands like Vision for instance? You could get nearly two pairs for the same price + for each pair you get a one year guarantee in Lithuania, so you're safe for two years at least. Or are there any other major benefits in Simms?

Vision is great in Lithuania because of the guarantee. The cheaper models might start leaking faster (I know some cases) but because Vision will just give you the new wader no questions asked - it’s a great deal
