They are Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. They were a top folk music duo in the 60s and very early 70s. Simon wrote all of their songs...a true poet. Kathy’s Song and Bridge Over Troubled Water are two of my favorite songs by them. I wore out their albums when I was young. 😊🌹

Hey, hey good looking. You played the original recording of the original duo. It was released in early 1964 and they had the assassination of President Kennedy in mind. It never really hit, but when they were on a tour in Europe, they heard it on the radio. Suddenly electric guitars were put on without their knowledge. It was now a big hit. Their manege had had electrified comp. Their fantastic career had begun. Greetings from Sweden

"who are they?" They are the two guys who wrote and first performed 'The Sounds of Silence.' They wrote the music and lyrics to a lot of songs which have very deep effects. This sort of music first existed when I was a teenager. I want always to see how this kind of music affects people today, but my eyes lower so that I may once again absorb the words without distraction, and I can only assume you are sharing it with me, another human being in the world. Hearing it. When they sang this in Central Park in New York City half a million people were standing before them to listen.
