Simon Fraser University Pipe Band performs a March, Strathspey, and Reel set at the Preliminary Heats of the World Pipe Band Championships held on Glasgow Green on 11 August 2017. The band is led by Pipe Major Alan Bevan and Leading drummer J. Reid Maxwell.

Simon Fraser University is located in a number of campuses in Greater Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The university is named after Simon Fraser, born in 1776 near Bennington, Vermont. He was the eighth and youngest child of Simon Fraser of Culbokie and Isabel Grant of Duldreggan, Glenmoriston who migrated to America in 1773.
