Thank you Simon for showing us how to finish these off. It was very helpful advice. Question: Is it best to fire with the lids on or off? When your once firing?

Do you use wax resist on those honey pots?

That depends how they are to be glazed. If glazed all over I would wax the gallery and lid to make clean up a bit quicker afterwards. Bottoms I never wax. If I was going to decorate them wax resist could be used yes for that process.
