As a South African, the team that has impressed me the most in this world cup, is this Fijian team. They can hold their heads up proud. A small developing nation without the resources that the big tier 1 counties have, tiny population, etc...I hope and believe that they will continue to grow and get the opportunities to compete with tier one countries much more regularly. Class act, Fiji can hold their heads up after a tremendous world cup. Very deserving of a seat at the top table now, look forward to seeing them in more big games in the future.

Fiji 🇫🇯 were dead unlucky not to have taken this. Even English supporters would have to honestly agree. To play against 17 men is just beyond arguing about. Both teams were enormous in their tackling & attacks. Just as momentum started to favor Fiji 🇫🇯 this French ref would blow for an infringement after allowing the same infringement that England would get away with. To me, this spoiled a good game that could have gone either way. Fijian kicking of penalties was atrocious & easily 9pts were given away. Yellow card infringements were ignored, Farrell got away with murder. I have since watched the game again & my observations were spot on. The French ref was a disgrace. This game did England no favors as after watching the SA game, the bokke will slaughter this side with possibly the biggest semi score in history that could put English Rugby 🏉 back a decade or more. I used to enjoy English Rugby but have seen such a change that it is already on the slide.

Fiji is definitely catching up with the rest of world as a rugby nation that's improving and indeed a formidable opponent. These Pacific Island teams have to be included in Super rugby comp and maybe Rugby Championship for SH.

But to say Fiji need to be humble is a bit much. Tuisova lost his son during this wc, Matavesi lost his dad, both men asked for the news not to be publicised. Plus the players dont get paid they play just to represent fiji, a lot of these boys are from poor backgrounds, even the locals organised for Botia's family to have a tv so his family could watch him play . All that and they held their silence until now. The entire nation of Fiji is proud of our boys for making it this far, so unless you're living in Fiji rn and understand that struggle.. it's not for you to tell us to be humble.

Fiji Drua is going to be a very strong team in Super Rugby next year after this experience and hopefully Fiji will continue to grow. I remember in 07 we were over the moon for Fiji making the quarter finals. The fact we’re disappointed Fiji didn’t make the semi’s just shows how much they’ve stepped up as well.

Fiji would have been a different team with Muntz at flyhalf, i feel they would of got to the semi with him playing, he's a strong goal kicker, he runs like a centre, and has good game management its a shame he got injured before the start of the WC, none the less i still feel Fiji done themselves proud, but there discipline is always an issue though

Fiji played well and deserved to be in the Semi Finals.Gutted for them.I hope world rugby gives Fiji more changes for bigger games at international level and even a southern Hemisphere 6 nations.

I'm not saying it doesn't exist but I didn't see any bias (conscious or not) toward England in this game. I thought Fiji was great in patches and not so great in others and the same for England which was reflected in the score and ebb and flow of the game.

The Referees need to be held accountable to poor decisions they repeatedly make on the field. Delete bias refs from rugby!

Sad news for Fiji Rugby fans, as Simon Raiwalui will not renew his contract as Head Coach...... He did a fantastic job, but maybe he wants to go back to the HPU or work with the Drua Franchise.....

England bossed the first 60 minutes, that is why they won. Fiji were incredible for the last 20, but blaming the ref is simply lacking humility. Putting that aside, what a team and what a future they have, they brought so much to the tournament and will be even better in 2027.
