Always breaks my heart when I see animals struggle/fear with fireworks or thunder. We all love looking at it...but we forget our littlest friends could be beyond terrified

My cat who passed away in November at about age 17 actually liked watching fireworks with me. Lol he wasn't thrilled about the sound but he liked watching them

My two male cats that I have now sit on the windowsill and watch the fireworks. But my last two cats have reacted the same way as Simons. 🤷🏼‍♀️

People can get very attached to their pets, and their passing can be just as traumatic as losing a loved one! ... Still, at least you have happy memories of your time together!

Funny as always except animals are afraid of fireworks. I myself don't like them, never have. Imagine how the outside critters feel. Poor Simons Cat....awww

I have a hole neighbors that fire off fireworks every weekend. It makes the dogs bark and makes my cat get the squits. That wasn’t the worst thing to happen though. Lightning struck the building I was in sounding like a sonic boom and scared my poor cat. It would have struck twice within a couple years, but it hit a plane going over. He did not like the sound of this either. It also struck the building next to mine. I really don’t know if I have really bad luck or if there is a lightning rod on the roofs.

lol. Of my 3 cats throughout my lifetime, 2 of them weren't bothered by fireworks at all (and I don't know about the 3rd one, as I don't think he was every introduced to it). That said, I would say Simon should close the window, but it looks like it's supposed to already be closed.
