Lost focus in the 2nd set and elevated her game in the 3rd while Halep just remained the same during the 2nd and 3rd set. Halep is/was a pitiful excuse of a world #1 player. Osaka won back 2 back GS. Halep couldn't do it. Halep will be lucky to have 2GS titles by the time she retires.

That's still up for debate...because it all depends on how much you weigh GS singles titles versus regular-tour tennis titles and maybe even doubles and mixed doubles titles as they are all pro titles. If you ONLY count GS singles titles and if Serena officially passes Margaret Court there (Serena currently has 23 and needs 2 more to pass Court's 24), there's a good argument for Serena being the GOAT. BUT, if you weigh all pro titles (singles and doubles), no one can touch Martina Navratilova's career 167 pro singles and 177 doubles titles (except maybe Court). By comparison, Serena's totals are 72 singles titles, 23 doubles titles, not even close. An argument can also be made for Court as the GOAT as, of course, her total GS titles record of 24 still stands today, and she also won 192 singles titles (120 MORE than Serena; Google it), though Court's career started before tennis' Open Era, so officially they only count 92 singles titles for her in the Open Era (confusing, I know). But Court also won the Tennis Grand Slam (all 4 GS titles in one calendar year) in 1970 and won the Tennis Grand Slam for doubles TWICE. Some mention Graf for GOAT too (and her Golden Tennis Grand Slam of '88 is undoubtedly impressive, but I would disagree there since she has officially been passed elsewhere, not to mention Monica Seles being absent for Graf's later years). Chris Evert should also be mentioned with her 157 career pro singles titles (2nd all-time behind Navratilova), reaching 34 GS singles finals (an all-time record, winning 18), all-time record of most French Open titles (7), and winning at least 1 GS title for 13 years IN A ROW, also an all-time record. Again, if Serena wins 2 more GS titles, there's definitely a good argument for her to be considered the GOAT, but as it stands at this moment, my vote would go to Navratilova.
