Honesty is always the best way!!! Being a Yorkshire man 2, I won’t try bull shit you up with a sob story or tale… I would love the set up as mine is only 1/2 the quality of the set up you have. I do have tackle, just not as quality for obvious reasons mate. I would however donate any of my own duplicate tackle to Wakefield Angling club for the use of the younger generation who can’t afford or have the opportunity to purchase the tackle. The Elevate rods look fantastic, Crowie! I would love to win this prize to split with my son because they represent the future of our beloved sport. The cost of living and the fact that I have not been able to work since developing sepsis that also caused a pulmonary embolism have made it difficult for our family to even afford basic necessities. My son and I are currently traveling about sixty miles to a new members water that I joined last year, which has carp up to 45 pounds, and I was going to try and sell my old 12 foot rods because I am having a lot of trouble on the pit because I am very under I had never fished at a range before because the last place I went was a tiny, private estate lake that was only 110 yards across. This pit is enormous in comparison. I have yet to catch a carp, but on my first trip there, I did catch the biggest Cat in the lake at over 55 pound

Hi Simon , a comprehensive entertaining blog as usual with some honest remarks which are very refreshing. I have been doing likewise over the last year or so with tackle that has become surplus so to speak . Being 70 years young I’ve had so many years to accumulate an excess of fishing gear so it’s a real joy to donate it to young people who can enjoy it . I’m sure you know how difficult it is to balance family life with your hectic fishing schedule and I take my hat off to you sir, you are always a pleasure to watch and even at my age admire . Really enjoyed this video, my 82 year old dad started carp fishing after Covid, I’ve taken up the sport too basically to spend more time him, we are both addicted, your carp gear would be amazing as we don’t have loads of gear. Excellent channel, good luck 👏

What impressed me most of all the new drops was the actual bivvy bag. Why haven't manufacturers thought of adding those side apartments before. And the clips certainly make the process of not having to stride it with legs either side fighting to get the zip lined up so much easier. Like a competition but my HQ brolly system is still serving me well as is my benchmark bedchair. I'd only be interested in a decent warm suit for these winter nights.

Amazing gear only one can wish for. Very generous of you that ain't cheap wow. I was knocked off my bike co.ing back from fishing six 6months ago. My left elbows nakerd hopefully they can figure it out and get it moving agian with surgery ect. Hit and run. 6montsh been off work lobing on sickpay. Still keeping the stuff I collect so far tho worked to damn hard. Even tho I don't jave a fishing licence and can't fish even tho looking at it, making me sad, it also inspires me to get out . I could make good use of the kit as I gave mine to a young man who I met and was struggling with his mental health...I hadn't used mine in a while so thought he would make good use of it....and now I could so with some time on the bank myself but unfortunately don't have the gear to use myself anymore.
