Hi there. I'm doing my GCSE maths, but I've learnt a different method. I'll try to get it on here: One of your exercises: 427 I_16__ Can you see the way it is structured? The whole number is outside of the inverted ''bus stop''. I get to same result, obviously, but I'd like to know what is called. Cheers from Yorkshire.

How can I do 417 divide by 3 ,in the long division a bit confusing with 10?

Hi - it's difficult to write on the comments but: 3 into 4 goes once, with 1 remainder the 1 remainder is put next to the 1 to make 11 3 into 11 goes 3 times, with a remainder of 2 the 2 is put next to the 7 to make 27 3 into 27 is 9 with no remainders The answer is 139 Best S

Thats simple - 235 only goes into it twice 470 leaving 230 You add another 0 onto 230 making it 2300 then ÷
