The prolific Argentine striker played most of his club football at Fiorentina in Italy, and is the tenth top scorer of all-time in the Italian Serie A league, with 184 goals in 318 matches. On the international level, he is Argentina's all-time leading goal scorer, with 56 goals

Cristiano Ronaldo o Messi podran hacer 100 goles por temporada, pero la fiereza, la potencia, la raza de goleador que tenia Batistuta era unica nunca volvi a ver un goleado con esa garra, bien dicho el ultimo gran 9 de la historia

El mejor 9 que vi jugar . No sería vistoso pero hacía todo bien . Tenía un cañón en la gamba , cabeceaba de verdad , tenía tremenda visión de arco y le pegaba de una . Siempre me gusto más que el gordo . Saludos de 🇺🇾

the fact that he denied the likes of teams such as manchester utd ,real,milan etc,for the sake of Florence and its people who loved him,makes him even more of a legend to me,even though he didnt win major titles!For a large period of time he was far and away the greatest striker(=consistent scoring for a decade,impressive goals,and MANY goals-not ronaldo s dribbling or bergkamp s control but he scored from EVERY angle ;) ).Forza Bati :)

quizá no tenga muchos lindos goles. Pero tenia lo que tiene que tener un 9 de verdad, que es gol, desde donde le llegaba la metía, no se fijaba en meter un lindo gol para después salir en todos los diarios, sino que le pegaba en cuanto se la pasabas y te arrancaba la red. Como me gustaría tener hoy en día a un 9 como el junto a Messi..

my friend, for batigol was too hard to be one of the world scorers, it wasn't easy for him, he worked hard for that...anyway, he had a great talent to score a lot of goals, personally, one of the best forwards that I saw...a genious in the area :)

The amazing about batistuta was that he always was thinking about scoring a goal no matter what, injuries, pain, rain, best defense in the world ahead, younger defensors, best goal keeper, tricky ball, nothing matters, if you played against him, you had to scored two goals to start thinking about winning, because you already lost one goal to nothing by the simple presence of him in the field. A beast !!!
