So much respect to Simon for single-handedly filming an Antarctica vlog in that weather. For anyone that doesn’t know what goes in behind the scenes of vlogging (equipment, holding the camera, storytelling etc) this video deserves a tonne of views and likes. Awesome content as always Simon 👍🏼

What seperates Simon from many other travellers on YT is his genuine sense of wonder and amazement at the world. He sees it as we would see it and it makes for a wonderful watching experience. Antarctica is definitely a once in a lifetime dream. I loved what he said about the air tasting different, very interesting to hear

I'm surprised they didn't give you all sleeping pads as insulation between the snow and the bag. That's why it was even colder once you laid down, as you were literally laying on an ice cube.

Amazing video Simon. Good on you for trying the sleep in the snow. Not sure if i could have done it. One thing I learned when I worked on ships that nobody seems to know, if you have a roommate, they WILL snore, and you need to find a way to block it out. When sleeping on the snowdrifts even more so it seems.
