Simple and Easy Replacement of Entry Door Threshold
HOW TO INSTALL FRONT DOOR THRESHOLD WITHOUT USING SCREWS
1. The most common size of threshold is 5-5/8 inches, but that was not wide enough for my door. I needed one that was at least 7 inches wide or 7 - 9/16 inches.
2. Door jambs normally come in 2 standard sizes: about 4.5 inches (4 - 9/16 inches) and about 6.5 inches (6 - 9/16 inches).
3. If using Endura Adaptive Inswing Sill System from BetterDoor, you will need to install ½ inch or thicker plywood underneath the threshold.
4. To nail in the plywood board, I used 2 ½ inch 16-gauge finish nails.
5. I used construction glue to attach the threshold to the plywood, and that worked beautifully! Best value glue is Loctite PL 3x Premium.
6. How I repaired the door jam and replaced the brick molding are shown in separate videos.

Nice work; i'd probably add flashing tape or door flashing pan; will keep that piece of subfloor wood from rotting out over the years.

I’m pretty sure that you needed to remove the white strip that was pushed into the aluminum underneath, where you put the adhesive on. You’d have screwed that to the floor and pushed the aluminum threshold back on it for a tighter fit. Adhesive is still fine but not the right way.

I would put metal flashing or tape underneath that threshold so moisture and water can run out

was thinking the same; just replaced 3 feet of OSB subfloor on mine because previous home-owner did not flash correctly; never noticed because we had cement board and tile on top.

Only thing you should have done is put some cross beams to nail your plywood too but other then that good job 👍

Asmia, I used Dynaflex 230, which is currently my favorite. I put an Amazon link to it (in the description box located under the video) for your convenience, but you can probably pick those up at Home Depot for cheaper.
