Thank you. This video has been amazingly helpful! I was having a hard time figuring out how to shape the inside of a bowl, and other videos weren't really explaining the direction of the chisel and how to sweep it. I think I've got a better idea of what I need to do now.

I've watched a ton of woodturning videos. I was recently asked by a new turner to recommend a 'bowl making video'. I sent this one! Saban explains so well, shows the full process, uses good turning techniques, and calmly shares safety tips. For a new turner, this video should be required viewing!! Thanks for your care in making it.

Great video (and KZfaq Channel), especially appreciated when starting out. Instructional videos for getting started like this one are exactly what is needed. I watched it three times before and during my first two bowls from my first blank (sawn in two on the lathe). Big thanks for answering my questions about oil/seal and wax. The first bowl wasn’t exactly like the video but the second one was almost exactly as expected and I have now viewed the video another few times - each time, picking up new tips. Books are one source of instruction but nothing compares to your videos. Thanks and definite thumbs up.
