Brent, during this hard time for you, you have been surprised and overwhelmed about how much support we all are giving you. This is the perfect example of why WE ALL SUPPORT YOU! You took it upon yourself to create an affordable system for us to be able to purchase and use because you saw the need for it and wanted to help us out. You have gone way above and beyond to put this together without it being for profit and a sales pitch. You are the best out there and we all want to see you back to normal as soon as possible. Wishing the best to you and Esther (and the dogs) Thank you for all you do!

As a professional cnc plasma cutting machine operator (retired), I recommend using the highest current setting for best operation at any thickness. Low current means you will have to cut with slower rate of travel for all thicknesses. best speed/cut quality will be found (on units such as yours) at the highest settings. Industrial machines are usually run at full current to maximize cutting speed and minimize slag.

That was just too cool. I love homemade cheap stuff! For most I feel that isa big enough table to have. Small brackets is mostly what you end up making most times. Very well executed. Thanks. Great..... something else I need to build!! Lol

Brent, I’m really impressed and that’s a fact. You’ve just gone through hell itself, taken a beating and after a lightning quick clear up, have already come bouncing back with a really useful episode, not just successfully experimenting, but thinking of what other people might find useful. Man… hats off, that’s an admirable, admirable attitude. No wonder so many people took you to their hearts and really tried to help you through. Isn’t that just what’s needed most in these tortured times.

You know you have some great builds that happened long ago enough that they could be replayed and put em out again (38 Pontiac comes to mind). As long as they were declared as replay not new I don’t think anyone who’s seen em would mind and maybe give some new viewers a chance to get caught up. Your stuff is so good I like to rewatch em anyway. Wish I had 10% of your talent and humor. And the chance to support the cardboard cad supplies wish you.

At 19:30 the loss of cutting coinciding with the compressor kicking on is no coincidence. I had the same problem. My work around was to put a pressure regulator at the plasma cutter. Fill up the compressor and then turn it off so it can't kick on mid cut cycle. I watch the air regulator pressure at the plasma cutter. I take educated guesses as to how much I can cut before I need to hold cutting and pump up the compressor again. It's a procedural PITA but it solved the loss of cutting issue.
