I am a bit confused. In the starting of the video we saw that if none of ‘a’ or ‘b’ divides ‘k’ or is a factor of ‘k’ then it has no solution. But towards the end it is said that if none of ‘a’ or ‘b’ divides ‘k’ then there the non negative and positive integral solutions are same .

In first case. LHS side has common factor of a & b. RHS side was not divisible by that common factor. Hence no solution. In later part of video. If you see both a & b don't have any common factor(watch out example) hence you can't divide RHS with common factor as there is no common factor. Both are different case. If you didn't get it then reply as I was also in doubt week ago.

In question 4x+6y=981 why you took division by 2 but not division by 4 as we remove lower divisor between the two and not the common divisor between the two. Kindly explain.

We don't remove the lowest we remove the common division. That's why we have divided by 2 not by 4 .

Non negative integers are 0,1,2,3,4,5,6......... Positive integers are 1,2,3,4,5,6....... Means 0 is a non negative integer but not positive integer.

Sir I tried solving the equation 2x+3y=152 by the long process ... And got the non negative integral solution as 25.. but according to the short cut method i am getting the solution to be 26. Please explain 🙏🥹

I also did long method, earlier mine answer was also coming 25 non integral solutions, then I decided to write down all those solutions individually and I noticed that 1 solution where y=0 and x= 76 is also possible was not among those 25. So if we count that one also then answer will be 26.

Ok i got it Difference 2 ka isliye aaraha hai kuki The equation is 3a+4b=60 So non negative will include all positive integral solution + 2 more solutions that is : 3(20)+4(0)=60 3(0)+4(20)=60 This 2 solutions will not be included in positive integers They are non negative integral solution....

Let me help you brother , See this shortcut ONLY ONLY works when a and b are coprime meaning their hcf is 1. 2x+4y=16 with hcf not equal to 1 you get 16/2*4 =2 Non negative soln = 2+1 =3 . Which cant be right coz (8,0) (0,4),(2,3)(3,2),(6,1) are 5 non negative soln. But when you make hcf =1 then u divide the above equation by 2 ...we get new equation as x+2y=8......8/1*2 =4 non negative soln are 4+1=5 ... which is right ...so hope u understand now
