Simple Machines and the Rube Goldberg Challenge

Students research simple machines and other mechanisms as they learn about and make Rube Goldberg machines. Working in teams, students design and build their own Rube Goldberg devices with 10 separate steps, including at least six simple machines. In addition to the use of readily available classroom craft supplies, 3D printers may be used (if available) to design and print one or more device mechanisms. Students love this open-ended, team-building project with great potential for creativity and humor.

Nvm I found out how.. there’s a little trigger tread when the bowl falls down to it shakes the inclined plane causing the soccer ball to move

@@perileibovich1641 Think of it this way, an axe chopping wood is a wedge. That is because it is splitting/moving the wood out of its way. Just like how a toothpick would be a wedge in this case because it is popping/moving the rubber or balloon out of its way.

Sorry for the late reply, as it's probably too late to say this or you figured it out yourself, but you can see at the end it pops the balloon, so it's function is to pop balloons.
