The double screw vise, also known as the Moxon vise, is a relatively old devise that's been documented as early as 1676. One of its major strengths is the ability to clamp stock for joint creation. While a lot of vises made for benches can be very expensive, this one is extremely cheap and can be made from a single trip to the hardware store. I'll show you how to make knobs that work just as well as any other Moxon kit that's on the market. To sweeten this, this vise racks, allowing tapered and non square stock to be clamped with ease. All of this and you only need a drill press or even just a hand drill if you have steady hands.
