Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏 I suffer from depression and today, since saturday I have another depressive episode hitting me. (No joy at all, no drive, no nothing. Just sleeping) That #1 hybrid picking idea made me pick up my guitar which I try to pick up since saturday but failed due to drive. Thank you for sparkling up my mood 🙏

Robert you are the kind of guy I want to see do well in everything you do. Your videos are always fun and amusing while helping my guitar playing improve. I love how you don't seem to take yourself too seriously. You're relatable to many of us out here and you have chops I can barely hope to build up to some day. Stay awesome brother.

This is a great lick for beginners! Hybrid and finger style really make things you already know more interesting and open up new paths. Makes rhythm playing a lot more fun too.

That's how learning guitar goes, no matter how you approach it, or what level you get to; you just keep being surprised at all the connections & possibilities. The guitar is easy to make music with, but a life long journey to master.

That hybrid picking is such a staple in my playing. I use my middle finger to pick at times to help play fast licks or when string skipping can be tough. I learned it from cliffs of dover, but I applied it everywhere.

Man, you make such cool lessons. Even my old tired ass can do this. This is fixing the problem of, when you learn the scale, then you're like " now what". That's my exact problem. I know where all the scale pattern boxes are, I just don't know how to improvise over them. Thank you Robert, you're great bud.😉🤘🎸🎵

Great lesson as always Robert. A quick beginners lesson on the rhythm stuff you did at the end of this video would be great I think. Simple changes over nice rhythum strumming with some muting without a lot of more complicated chords. I think there is so much music just in “cowboy chords world “ that gets missed in a huge amount of teaching. Coupled with some cool lead tricks as you just showed would help heaps. You just proved that in this video. 👌

Im just gonna let you know that this is a great lesson. Im also going to say that among the tastiest things you play in this whole thing is that little hammer on at end end of the descending run at :36 and 1:36... which is a little confusing to the beginner player since that note is not in the scale you just outlined. (but this is a great lesson, seriously)
