Yo KC can you do a drop 2 with warefare chords or just a video based on warefare/prophecy chords
@dstrongcrowe432strong6 Жыл бұрын
Great job as always KC. It's a really good kick start for people that are new to soloing. There has been a few youtubes on that approach. "Now that we found love, what are we gonna do" by Heavy D and the Boyz LOL uses that same chord inversion approach if you listen to the changes under the chorus. Also wanted to add some comments I put in another vid--not sure if you read, if this is relevant or if this would be an encouragement to the CCM and Gospel musicians/lovers, but lemme know what you think on CCM stuff--often technically simplistic versus Gospel--often technically complex: IMHO it really has to do with what you are raised on both as a musician and a listener. If all I ever heard or played was straight majors and minors with zero passing tones and the same or similar pop/rock progressions, you might say that is what has been baked into me, hence, allowing me to focus on the worship and lifting up Jesus, but in the same token, if I have been only exposed to Gospel music from the age of 2, hearing passing tones, polychords and pentatonics everywhere might really be just as familiar to me to the point that I perceive it as simple, as it is the only thing I have ever known which yields the same results, where I am focused on God and the music, even at that level of playing still takes a second seat to the Worship. So it really is what you are exposed to the most, musician or non-musician. Musicians and listeners on the Gospel side have to really slow things down with CCM with their ears and with their hands, as CCM is a very stripped down version of what they are used to musically, like a car without all the bells and whistles, but that car will still get you where you need to go, so it is equally effective in terms of the Worship experience from start to finish. At the same time, I think the people from the CCM side might be inclined to think there is a lot of flesh in Gospel music, because it is so challenging and sometimes impossible for them to truly grasp and technically master, as they simply don't know it and were not raised on it, so they immediately will judge it as a display of technique, but I know plenty of guys who can play over a bunch of changes and rhythmic variations almost effortlessly, and they as well as their congregation, are just as laser focused on God in the worship experience. Why? Because it is also baked into them, they practiced to the point where it is no longer technical, but a part of who they are. Don't get me wrong, there are some pseudo divas and showboaters out there, but that is not necessarily tied to their technical ability as it is with their heart. It exists on both sides where you got the Cory Henry/Jason White wannabes on the Gospel side since it is largely keyboard driven, but you also can have an Eddie Van Halen/Steve Vai wannabe on the the CCM side since it is often guitar driven. All of it still goes back to the heart of the person, Bro!
