Simple Polymer Clay Cane: Rose Cane Tutorial

In this polymer clay tutorial I’ll be showing you how to make an easy, stylized rose cane. It's a simple, fun way to get the effect of a rose without a lot of messing around with color blending, so it's great for caning beginners or people who just don't enjoy the fussing that is necessary with some polymer clay canes. I'm calling mine an evening rose cane because of the colors, but you can use any colors you like for this project.

Hi Jess! Never fear, yes there are purple/periwinkle colored roses! They are called “smoky roses”. Actually if you check online, you will find every color you can and could never imagine! There are even “black” roses! Thanx it’s gorgeous. 😉👍🌹

This was a great tutorial. I like the color choices. You lost me at the end ... You took a needle tool and tap tap tap tap and then took the sliver away with out showing what you were doing to the cut off piece of the cane. Excited to see what you are going to do with cane and paint, by might want to redo the tap tap part.

Sorry about that - I should have shown a close up. I was just using the needle tool to push in against the edges to give the edge a frill rather than leaving it smooth. You don't have to do that bit, it's completely optional.

I have the same quantity of pearl white as all the other colors. Probably around 1\4 of a small block of premo.
