You can make a killer pattern by using several strands of holographic tinsel and a drop of cement to form the scud back.

Nice! If you haven't seen it, check out 'The feather bender' (Barry Ord Clarke) Hot Spot Gammarus video. He explains the thinking behind the hot spot for these. Really interesting stuff.

Can I offer a suggestion? Wear a white T-shirt when you're doing a tying video in the future. The lettering on your shirt in this video creates a very distracting background. Thanks for your otherwide great videos.
