It is nice to see this done "In Camera". I am sure there are ways to take just the pencils, copy and invert them and then use a transform filter in photoshop (and other editors) to create the reflection. It is up to the individual how they choose to create any image. I appreciate the clear and transparent way you walk through every image.

Thanks for a very interesting video. I tried it and was moderately successful. Will try again with 'lessons learned'. The problem was that the pencils contained watercolour pigments. So where the pencils touched the water, the pigment dissolved and the sharp points became a 'globby' mess!! Hey ho!!

I totally love your videos. It's ok you start with the same, like with the light contamination test shots, even I have seen it many times. People don’t necessarily all videos, so you need to think like someone is seeing the most recent video as your first video ever. The way you explain setup, technicals, camera settings etc. is just brilliant. I'm really enjoying every single video.

Great tutorial! I really like your calm and precise way how you walk through the whole process. I have two questions: a) you seem to have a kind of snappy clamps on your gearhead - what is ths? b) did you consider to have the waves in focus as well?

Noticed your Sinar P2 5x4 inch camera in the background. Have the same camera and due to all the movement adjustments I am considering to use once again. Can use my DSLR as a Polaroid. What is your thoughts using a large format camera...would it be a waste of time and money? My guess it would depend on clients intended publications?

Very interesting, as always.👍 But there‘s a question. Aren‘t you taking photos in RAW Format? What about sharpening the image, adjust Saturation, Highlights, Black- and Whitepoint, Contrast and all the others i would normaly do with an RAW Image? 🤔
