Hi there Mary, what a lovely video you’ve prepared on good old warmers! I completely agree with you: sometimes we unnecessarily overcomplicate our lives as teachers when there is no need really! There is no shame in using such classics as hangman or word associations. What’s important here is the fact that they do work. Help me. I have a student, we've been doing free talk/conversation for 4 months. She is already retired. I don't know what to discuss anymore. When I ask her what her activities are for the day, she would always say "nothing special". I used to really love teaching. Because of her, I am now developing anxiety.
