I remember the roofers getting excited on trash day...they would come to work with new coach foam for all...those guys would stay up top all day long...they would designate a corner to pee off of and tell every one to stay away...hahaha That was a cool crew of real straight up outlaws ..im sure there all in jail or dead by now...but ill always remember they boys...hahaha

@@seattleprowash5464 oh then this must be a new product that mimics an old discontinued product cuz I did all of that work 25-30 years ago.... It was the birth of the architectural shingle back then they're very strange shingles..... There are none left in the Washington DC metropolitan area at all but they were common 30 or 40 years ago

@@frankiebones7212 interesting. It's called Presidential style as well. For people who want 'premium' shingle roofs. But annoying to walk on becuase of the diagonal shingles

Our guys use the ridge Pro. There are still a couple holes that you can Bolt into But we’ve never done that one time. As far as being quick and easy, as well as effective. It’s probably one of the best alternatives.

Yes safety first, but that's an 8/12 at most and it's completely walkable in the right shoes. Time is money.

Cougar paws are the best boot out there. I have two pairs a newer one their flagship which is garbage next to their older one which had a wider foot for more grip and three buckles instead of two. However cougar paw says they don't make those bigger pads anymore but the newer pads fit on the old boot because the older boot is bigger and there's just a little bit of Gap around the perimeter. I have 10 times like more confidence on a roof than without them and I am not a fan of heights.

they are great, before my coworker and myself got a set we were sent to tarp a house after hurricane Florence the roof over the steps was a 6/12 pitch but you had to use every bit of it to get speed up to climb the 9-10/12 just to get up it to the ridge. the roof was so bad, the gutters were full of granules and almost like marbles on the slopes. after getting the boots my coworker and myself stood on a 11/12 without sliding, night and day difference

@@RAREFORMDESIGNS I doubt that it reduces the life of it that drastically but everything would last longer if you don't actually use it's natural wear and tear, there's a reason we use tiles over in UK they are made to last shingles are made cheap so they can be replaced cheaply when a hurricane blows it off the problem isn't roofers walking on it it's the product not being made to last in the first place
