No wedding party was needed, as we can stand for ourselves. We also didn't want to have to rank our "best" friends. Plus most of our friends are several states away in the middle of starting their careers as well.

We plan on a big extended family party maybe in a few years, once we have our careers solidified and have reached our financial goals.
**Anyone thinking of not doing the traditional expensive wedding**
We are glad we did not. Its not worth the hassle. This did not strain us, or our families finances. The money we saved has gone to living expenses and retirement accounts.
