Have you considered buying a 10 or 20 lb co2 tank and a sodastream refill adapter? Food-grade CO2 is usually available from local beer home-brewing stores. Some people go to welding suppliers but I wouldn't completely trust that idea.

I think those refill adapters for quick connect are sold out...I guess I could use a hose with an attachment I screw off an empty cylinder? Also you have to use a regulator with that type of set up too, right, because the pressure is higher? It's probably $140 at least to rig it with a big tank.

@@artmatthew1 This sort of thing is commonly available on Amazon or Ebay. Any CO2 tank of any size is the same pressure because liquid CO2 at normal room temperatures has the same pressure.

I didn't want to modify my machine and the adapter makes them too big. I think they have smaller adapter that may work. I actually stopped using sodastream, I've been enjoying my new machine because of how convenient it is.
