I remember when this song came out. Unfortunately it was the same time my first husband was killed in an auto accident in 1997. Song still brings back the emotions from that time.

It's a terrible event to experience for any person in life to lose their dear one but to lose in a way you least expected. I hope this song and times healed you enough to find acceptance perhaps solace even. But I still wish to give you my condolences and happiness if possible.

Someday when I die and go to heaven, I imagine Celine singing with the angels. This is one of those few songs that might be even more impressive if you find a concert version. Celine is one of the GOATs.

Written by Jim Steinman, who wrote lots of Meat Loaf songs + Holding Out For A Hero and Total Eclipse of the Heart to boot! The backing vocal style is a common Jim Steinman style as well.

@@TimedRevolver The truly funny part is that Celene's version is actually a cover. The songwriter created a group called Pandora's Box who recorded the song years before Celene. Their version is virtually identical. If you didn't know better, you would think it was the same recording.

Billy, fun fact. Ryan Reynolds is canadien & loves Celine, anyway after the death of her husband & brother within a week of eachother Celine was very depressed. So Ryan pleaded with her to sing s song for Deadpool 2 & she did. The song is Ashes-Celine Dion.

She is truly incredible. I have seen her twice in concert and it’s an experience, for sure. She’s really funny too. You should check out her song Courage. I think it’s on her most recent album. Pretty sure its about the loss of her husband. BYSE will definitely come out.

There is a video of her recording in the studio (I think it was for a different song) and the video engineer asked her to move away from the mic a bit when she was belting because the sound she was making was so strong that it was interfering with the mic. I saw her sing this song live from the front row and it was unbelievable.

The best part was when you said she had feeling like you were running around in nightgown. You’d make a fabulous celine in a windswept nightie but she makes us all feel that way. Emotion and heart in powerfully belted out lyrics hits everyone the same. Glad you loved it is a fav of mine.

This song was written by the late great Jim Steinman. A musical genius; giving us the iconic Bat Out of Hell album sung by the incredible Meatloaf. Meatloaf also covered this song many years later and I believe it is as good as Celines version. Jim Steinman also wrote Total Eclipse of the Heart sung by Bonnie Tyler, and Making Love Out of Nothing at All sung by Air Supply. But most of Jim’s songs were sung by Meatloaf, the were great friends and absolute spectacular dynamite together. I was a teen when Bat Out of Hell came out and loved it. Then my children was raised on it loving it, and now my Grandchildren are teens and have been raised with it, they also love it. Jim is gone from Earth, but his music will live on for many generations.

@@StudeSteve62 The live was nice...but the studio version picks up some of the really subtle nuances of Barry, Robin and Maurice's harmonies. Barry was the first person I can remember who could "sing in a whisper", that BYSC talks about in "My Heart Will Go On". It took til the mid 80's (I was 14ish) for me to appreciate what the Bee Gees brought to the table.
