Just a guess, but for ESC the songs/artists have to follow quite a few rules in order to attend (e.g. about the release date, length of the song, kind of release, kind of promotion that's allowed). Maybe that's also for ASC the case and an MV was not allowed... But it's just a guess...

Im the Song Contest AleXa is in, she is representing Oklahoma,and finished 2nd in the jury vote. She id going on to the semifinals, but the date hasn't been determined yet.

@@marvin5140 Rhode Island. Keep in mind this was in the qualifier group AleXa was in, not all 50 states, so other states came in 1st for their qualifier group. AleXa qualified for semifinals by getting enough public votes.

i don't know how many semis there will be (probs 2) and the possible dates are apr 25 & may 02 since the grand final will be on may 09, the monday before the Eurovision week (Eurovision Song Contest being the "mother" of the American Song Contest)

@@user-vn9wn7pq5h 1:10 이때부터 10초 동안 춤 과격하게 추면서 호흡 한번도 안하고 랩하는데 라이브가 좋은건 둘째 치고 1:20 후렴구 부분으로 넘어갈때 호흡소리 안들리고 but(?가사를 잘 모르는데 but으로 들림)을 바로 부르는게 말이 안됨 1:10 ~ 1:28 까지 호흡 없이 춤추면서 부른다? 이건 빼박 립싱크지 그리고 이런 공연용으로 호흡소리 까지 녹음 할 수 있음

If you have experience participating in K-pop audition programs, you can succeed in any competition. Because K-pop auditions are very harsh. Alexa was already being evaluated as a singer with great potential among K-pop idols.
