Couldn't agree more guys. Abysmal interviewers, showing a legend nowhere near the respect he deserves. Also I am one of that younger demographic who never thought he's get to see them and I am so grateful that now I will. Thank you Mick.

Great voice. Listening to him talk, his voice is soft, and I find it amazing as to how he can hit a high note and hold it with such clarity. Forgive me, I guess I'm trying put into words what I feel. The one song that comes to mind here in reference to what I mean is , *You Make Me Feel Brand New* I have to tell you at 76, I'm still a big fan. Way to go Mick Hucnall, please keep on keeping on, you're 100% solid gold...

He has the best musicians ever....terrible interview especially when she said something like "I was a fan when I was young dancing about and everything...." as if its that simple to produce as many great hit songs and have a career as long as Simply Reds,that music is just a fresh today as it ever was.

Kenji, the silent one! I know he is a good at DJ as well as on the guitar, remembering his radio show in Japan about 30years ago.

"in what capacity?" the male interviwer asked...twenty years they go back..twenty years...mr.male interviwer everyone makes mistakes, let the mistakes you made on this interview serve you well and hope you learned from them. The interview sounded more like a group job interview with Simply Red being the applicants for the job. The two interviewers couldve easily played themselves in the movie "the Office" .

The question at 3:35 made no sense and even the band were like "......eh?" and the the bass player just said some random words that I'm not sure he understood was even an answer to what he was asked, terrible interviewer

Mick has always been gracious in interviews ... even when hosts who haven't bothered to do more than 10 min of prep ask the most boring of questions.

I agree with you guys. It seems that these interviewers were told in the very last minute that they were going to interview Mick and other fellows from Simly Red. Their questions were so nonsense and even the band members sometimes did not understand what they really wanted to know. Instead I recommend this recent great interview by Pedro Caiado (he is Brazilian but he interviewed in English). Love it when corporatized robots get shown for the true humans they are. 'Kenji's been with us since 1998' 'Okay, in what capacity?' 'Uhhhh...?' Hilarious - the reason you cant see the right side of the presenters face is because Kenji had to apply a one-inch punch to his eye following that dumber than dumb comment

talk about an embarrassing not thought through interview, in under 5 minutes Mick and his band members seem to be a bit bamboozelled with some of the non meaningful questions

I do get a kick about a "band".....it really hasn't been a band since their first incarnation....but a collection of sidemen/studio musicians.....and Mick......not saying its bad....but he's changed personnel over the years like youd change your undies.....still he remains one of my favourite singers.....

I've heard a couple of the group's hits, like Stars/Holding on, before. But I didn't remember the name "Simply Red" nor of Mick. But I will say those two songs are right at the top of my all time list now that I found them on KZfaq and have played them over and over and also seen some of the interviews with Mick. I wish I could have seen one of his concerts in his early days. I really didn't pay attention to the interviewers, just happy I get to understand Mick more. They must not have been much of an "American" event, at least not that I remember, but maybe I was out of touch. I really like their music.
