This channel is a balm to my soul. Older Titus 2 women who have pioneered this journey have such a big role (some of them do not know) towards us younger women. Books and websites have become our Titus 2 advice and wisdom. This should not be. I wish there was a way to connect older and younger women together. Would love to start a group like this in Tennessee. Thank you Sonja and Karen! Blessings to you both.

I literally had tears rolling down my face listening to this. When she talked about reading out loud was something she missed it just overwhelmed me with both thankfulness that I'm able to do this with my children and also sadness that one day it will end with them.

I love this site, and I want to mention that when I began homeschooling in the 90s, Karen Andreola’s CMC was the first resource I used as well! It’s so interesting learning about others who began their journey the same way. 😊 I still love and refer to this book often, and plan to pass it down to my own girls.

I just discovered Charlotte Mason this past month. Intrigued, I ordered Karen’s book A “Charlotte Mason Education” off of Amazon, read it in just a few days, and felt immediately calmed and reassured that this was the way to go. I made the decision to use Charlotte’s Method in my homeschool this fall. I have such peace and confidence that this is the true calling for my Children’s’ education. Thank you Karen.

My children are finished school now but my husband and I wish we had home schooled them for a number of reasons, including the formation of Life Habits. I have been following Karen Andreola via her blog for a year now and have some of her books. She is a Titus 2 mentor to me and a balm to my sometimes weary spirit, an encouragement to keep going as I care for my home and those in it. I loved hearing her talk about her new book and thank you Sonya for your skilful interview techniques and bringing her to our attention. I am now subscribed to your channel and blog and enjoying all that you have to offer us. I agree that the way of speaking is beautiful and calming, it reminds me of my Grandma.

This channel and interview have ministered to me in a profound way. I am precisely, that young, lonely, worn mother in need of a mentor, if you will, described in this interview. My husband and I want to homeschool our children. I stay at home. I have no idea where to start and have been feeling anxiety and overwhelm at where to even begin. I love books and today, I came across and IG account of someone who sells, er, saves books, if you will, and puts them up for resale via their account. It's like shopping for a treasure you don't even know you need until you see it. The hash tags caught my attention: (#charlottemason...). The account is that of a woman who is now a grandmother and by the looks of it, she home schooled her children via the CM method/approach. Intrigued, that led me to a Google search, of course, and now to this channel. Learning about CM in the past two hours has made my heart go aflutter because it is exactly what I have been desiring for my son without being able to put into words. Thank you!

I have a hard time listening cause I’m so enthralled by their manner of speaking. I think this practiced art of speaking is almost completely lost to my generation! Everyone has “KZfaq voice”. I’m trying to slow down my readings with the kids and take more time - ah ha, I don’t stumble over the words as badly!

Just a question: when is a mother of young children supposed to make time for this stuff? I want to go on walks alone but I can't leave my children alone. I'd LOVE a walk with my husband or some quiet time to read or do something creative, but I don't know how and when. it seems like a luxury to me.

It is absolutely a luxury and something that as you mention will not fit into all seasons of life! Perhaps you have a trusted friend or relative that you could leave your children with to carve out this time with your husband. Perhaps you could build into your routine during this season a quick walk when your husband is home to get that alone time. Another option could be working with your children to teach them to have some quiet time during your day so that you can have that reading time. Start small and build up to your goal, however it is possible!
