This performance is based from the Panay- Bukidnon epic TARANGBAN. It tells the story of Humadapnon's search for his wife, Nagmalitong Yawa who was introduced to him by his spirit-friend, Taghoy in a dream. In his journey, he meets Magbatong Balanak, a suitor of Nagmalitong Yawa, whose heart is kept in a balanak fish. After conquering Magbatong Balanak, Humadapnon reaches the enchanted waters of Tarangban where he is ensnared by a thousand binukot women, headed by two sisters, Sinangkating Bulawan and Lubay Hanginon. His future bride, Nagmalitong Yawa rescues him from the hands of the flesh-eating women of Tarangban by transforming herself into a man. In his journey, he is accompanied by Dumalapdap, the brother created by Humadapnon's sister, Labing Anyag, the bearer of the magical handkerchief.
