One weird thing I always found in Belladonna Cove is that sims are much more likely to flirt with each other than in other neighbourhoods. For example, if Samantha and Gabriel are in the welcome wagon they probably end up falling in love with each other.

Still even with some Maxis oversight, the sims 2 is master piece in story telling. Wish they would try harder with the sims 4 :(. Anyways great video! ❤️

Isabelle Baldwin is actually extremely lazy, so it makes sense that she is unemployed, although is having potential to go big in a career. Plus her husband is either turned off by unemployed or turned on by hardworking Sims, don't remember which one exactly. But it is a great potential for drama. As for Timothy Riley, I think he left the job after his wife died due to electrical shortcut on the job. But you could see in the family photos him training Vivian on his career reward. Plus he often rolls a want to get a job, which makes me think that is willing to go back into medicine to look after Vivian. Enjoyed your take on Belladonna cove so much! Would love to see you make a video about facts of the town.

i think scripted events are like "tutorials" or "introduction" u know.. like introduction to alien, burglar, cheating, etc. that's why the expansion packs don't have them bc they figured you're already familiar with the game.

Yes, they were tutorials to introduce players to new game mechanics. That's why I think they would have worked great in the expansion pack 'hoods to introduce the new features of each pack (hobbies, magic, seasons).

I love the trailer park! I tend to place it in Pleasantview opposite Brandi’s place. I’m not too keen on Belladonna Cove but think it suits Pleasantview well! (I have to have apartments in that hood because I love apartment gameplay generally in TS2 and it’s my favourite neighbourhood!)

The weird thing is that I swear one time when I was younger I played this world and I started with old man Contender - the athlete - and I got a pop up as if for a scripted event like with the base game worlds... it was something about him wanting to retire but still wanting to have fun and flirt it up with the ladies... idk LOL. I've never gotten it since though.

Cindy! After playing the Sims 2 Apple store version for years I finally got my hands on a working PC where I could redownload my Ultimate Collection from Origin. I'm soooo happy to finally have hobbies and apartments again as well as a game that runs beautifully! Your mod list and sims 2 rules are so helpful, I feel like in my 15+ years of playing Sims I finally have a play style that doesn't ever get boring. Thanks so much! I played the Cordials girls the most in Belladonna Cove, they remind me of Pleasant girls and that house i love it!!!!!!!!! Yes, Maxis did so many mistakes but Belladonna Cove is also different from the rest of neighborhoods, the stories, the houses' design everything is better, next level i would say :))

The things i hate the most about witches in the sims 2 is the skin change, the name change, and that damn outfit 🤣 if it wasnt for mods to remove those i wouldnt play with the magick system

I kinda like the fact Carlos is a popularity sim since I feel like he would be the type of guy to never miss a party and be everyone's friend and the women (or men) just came as an extra to his lifestyle.

Honestly I love your insight. I didn’t have this since I was so young playing it when it was first a thing (when apartment life came out) I don’t use mods because of the abandonware version I have but I like how you play I’m thinking about adding in the rotational style into my gameplay as well as the fertility rule you have (one of my sims tried 9 times and still wouldn’t get pregnant so I had to use tombstone of L&D to get her pregnant but now it gives sims a reason to adopt AND adds more bloodlines into the neighborhood) love your videos!

Thank you! That's the reason I play this way - so SOME of my Sims can adopt besides just same-sex couples. It doesn't happen super often, but when it does, it's very good for the story!

My favorite Belladonna Cove family was always the Cordial Sisters, I don't know why, but I always started playing with these girls, because I really like turning them into witches, and I love witches, haha😄 And I like too, to make them in a romantic relationship with her witches friends.

I’ve played the sims 2 for a decade now and you still manage to teach me new things LOL Also, with the sim blender, after you give the sim the career you want them to have, if you click the blender and go to careers again then you’ll have the option to set the level. :)

Belladonna Cove is the neighbourhood I've been playing non stop for months now, almost all the original sims are dead or dying now. I've had to move almost all the sim bin families in to the neighbourhood so I have enough people to marry into the families. But my god, so much corruption, I wish I had known about clean templates when I started it. I finish so interesting that I didn't even think about the job/skills matching but for me Timothy and Isabelle both rolled the wants to join the careers you matched them with. It really was meant to be!

Belladonna also means beautiful woman (i think because of Bella Goth) but belladonna is also a mistical and magical plant that was used by witches. Also is useful for medical purposes.

The funniest thing about the Cordial sisters is that every time I’ve ever played in Belladonna Cove, Samantha has always been the nastiest sim to others and Kimberly has always been friendly, and I don’t know why that is 😂

In my game, Chastity broke Gabriel Green's heart. He get comforted by the Samantha and marry her. Then I marry Kimberly to Armand instead. So she will be the evil stepmother to Tara. (And I love that 😂)

Wow I was playing with muito Male sim at a bar and he ended up having chemistry with Jason Cleveland, and they went on a date and he ended up moving in without me even knowing he had a family, so cool to find out he actually was kind unhappy on his marriage

Omg how did I not think of pairing Jason with Geoff?? The opportunity was staring right at my face! Tho I guess I never noticed because they are brothers in law so it would be a bit weird if they got together haha. That and I like to pair up Geoff with either Chastity, since he has three bolts with her and they compliment each other, or Connor because he -Connor-usually ends up bi in my game (courtesy of the gender preference randomizer) and surprisingly has good chemistry with Geoff. But Geoff, being the romance sim he is, just doesn’t know what commitment is lmao.

For me Jason rolled the want to flirt with Geoff but he could only do a 'family kiss' so I was very sad! I think probably corruption or something :( But now Geoff has 15 children so he didn't miss out 😂

I think I mentioned on a previous one of these videos that I’m so uninterested in any of the expansion pack hoods due to the lack of scripted events and ‘half-assery’, but I love how you find stories even from the smallest details! I still won’t play anything but base game or my own hoods but I’d be interested to see you play them! 😂

If you have ACR and look at his sim tokens he has no attraction to women, I discovered that while doing my setup day with them because I was curious if that was his actual preference, it is and I think that’s pretty cool!

My absolute favourite neighbourhood! It’s probably the most fun neighbourhood to play because there are so many possibilities and gameplay routes to take, not to mention the drama! Though it can get a bit exhausting because I end up with a lot of families very soon haha.

I always loved playing the Cordial sisters - I'd make them witches too, and they even have that room with the secret bookcase door that I would always put their cauldrons and witchy stuff in. I loved to play them as if they were trying to hide their abilities, and thus using the secret room! Such a fun household 😆😆

Belladonna Cove's Maxis half-assery shows so hard... the things that really stand out to me are the glitchy bits in the family trees and the personalities that are just one astrological pre-set paired with a different sign. There's also a very noticeable error in the Clevelands' family bio, where they call Marissa "Martha."

I know this is an old video but you calling Marissa Jason's "beard" made me choke with laughter oh my gosh I appreciate these videos bc I love playing Sims 2 hoods in recommended play orders when I'm playing with pre-made families, even if only the base game hoods have scripted events (which kind of sucks bc I love those)

Because of yours and Plumbella’s videos I found sims 2 online and played again ❤️❤️❤️ I remember being in 6th grade counting down the seconds all day for my dad to pick me up so he could take me to target and I’d use my allowance money to buy the sims 2 the day it came out!!!!!! :) Been a simmer since The Sims and I never would’ve thought how amazing the sims 2 would be in 2020. I was so excited for the sims 3 and 4 but I can’t even play the sims 3 anymore because it ALWAYS lags and crashes. And sims 4 is only good for graphics and build mode. So glad to be playing Sims 2 and look forward to binging your sims 2 videos!!!!!

Belladonna cove is the only expansion neighborhood that I played with, mostly because of the builds. I hate all the builds in Riverblossom Hills and Desiderada Valley so couple that with half-assery in the sim department and I was like 'whatever, I'll just build my own neighborhood' after one round with the families, but the urban atmosphere in Belladonna cove was so well done that it did draw me in to get to know the families. I think it's my favorite after Plesantview, it has a really good balance of drama and wholesomeness.

it's actually crazy to see this neighborhood because when I played Sims 2 I only had about 4 expansion packs and I never saw this one. so surreal seeing more official sims 2 families!

I really like this series too. I am playing in Belladonna Cove. It wasn't difficult to get jason Cleveland to fall in love with one of my female sims. It might be good in your next video to show where they are on the map. I'm guessing you geographically divided the families and that these are the ones on the plateau area.
