Sims 3 Creating a Modern Home [HD]

This house took me a lot longer then I had thought it would have taken me. The time from start to finish was about an hour and 20 minutes.
The only thing I'm not so happy with this house is the back yard.
This house features:
2 Bedrooms
3 Bathrooms (2 Full bathrooms)
1 Kitchen
1 Car open garage
Price:
Furnished - 161,548
Unfurnished - 81,312

This is the original creator. I can no longer access this account as I have no idea what the login info was. It's wild to me that this video hit the number of views that it did, and that people are still using it as inspiration. I was so young when I originally made this, just happened to think about this video today. Cheers!!

Before you make a house, close your eyes and envision yourself walking into a house. Recreate everything you see and you'll have success. Do this for each and every room. :)

Kaloyan Vasilov Hun, what she wrote was perfect English. Unless you found any mistakes,than what Claudia wrote was perfect English. I believe what Nick was saying was that what she wrote was perfect, it may not go to show for all of her English skills, but he is in fact right.

This is the creator - I think when I first started playing the Sims 3 I was one of the earlier people creating house videos, I think that's why this video got so much traction.

You want to make sure your in Edit Town mode, then click on the lot you want to build on. A window should pop up and you should see a button in it that says like "build/buy". Just click that and start building =P

@TheJacobGaia That is what Modern houses are looking like now days. The Black and White adds a clean crisp look to the house. The many windows allows alot of natural lighting to come inside so you dont have to waste your money on lighting.

I think I made something similar to this but mine was heavily inspired by James Turner or someone popular during that time.. I remember making the master bedroom right above the garage, with split level living room and a mezzanine of sorts. Can’t find the exact build anymore😩

@ShayShayAnatomy Yeah, if you download it, then you place it in your town.. go to edit mode, select the house, and you can begin changing it around :)

Uhh I would say sims 3. There is an expansion coming out sometime in fall, and there are various object pacts you can buy on the sims 3 website. So I think there is plenty stuff to play around with in Sims 3 while waiting for more expansions =))

@MoodLight1200 Actually, you have to hold down Ctrl. and do it. But you have to be on the create a wall thingy. It works with fences too.

Look in the house bin section. On the bottom right in edit town mode.

@MoodLight1200 You hold down Ctrl and drag down your walls. There's also a delete tool beside the select tool and the create-a-style tool.

Yes that happens to me sometimes but to help with that ishue I tried to make sure there was a mster bed and bath covering a large area and possibly a private study for the mastr bed , and a family study , then if I still don't have enough space I either go up a floor or make a basement Its really what ever the house requires each house is different what ever their needs are are individual problems for each home I'm used to luxury mansions so the only problem with space is possibly too much

Just create 4 walls around 1 square, then move up another story and create another on top that.

Me too once I made a home and for 3 straight hours while I was playing I forgot to add a roof I was wondering why my sims had the "unfinished room" moodlet

@MovieMakers100 You can go into edit town and choose a lot you want to build on, and it doesn't cost money to begin building, but it will cost money to move a family into the house depending on the size and furnishings of the house!! =)

um... I have a suggestion... I'm not an expert or anything like that I'm just suggesting... When you do or say modern houses.. It's not just basically black and white or glassy of some sort... You can also have modern houses in beige or brownish or yellowish shades... I'm just a 2nd year high school student so please spare me... Thanks.. oh and by the way, that's one cool house you got there... :D

Are you referring to Dani0893's post? If so they give you plenty. And almost every object in the game can be customize to make every house unique. You can even make a house that is completely metal, or even wood!

to help against that happening build each room instead of building the outside walls first then your house will be the room sizes and floor plan you want
