Just a quick check in with this makeover of Sunset Valley, moving around a couple of lots, what's next...

If youre feeling burn out by this project def take some time off. It's supposed to be fun, after all! Im really excited for the festival grounds! I've been wanting to make my own for moonths but I can't get an original idea to save my life, lol.

Thank you, yeah I'm trying to be cautious, but for now I'm still having fun ^^ . I think I'll try and alternate between that and a cc-project starting maybe in January, for a change of pace. Haha, you're getting me excited for the festival grounds 😆

For the elementary school Ike that idea for Sunset Valley I like what you did for New Pleasant View with the elementary school

So many good ideas.. oof. For the military lot, it would be great to see that area transformed, because it just doesn't fit the town at all - a rocket launcher, in a green seaside place? Riiiight. If you decide not to remove the road connection completely, it might be a neat spot for either a vineyard or the equestrian centre (can only be an improvement to the game autoplacing one next to the hillside villas). Or a farmer's market in some fields. Or.. too many ideas, really. For the Woolf's house, why not continue the line of trees framing the road to block the view onto the lot? The tree line was continued onto the other mansion lots as well, afterall. Ahh and then your town update, I'm so excited to see the transformations! Yet another police station AND a school from scratch? Sounds like early Christmas (whenever you get around to it). Thanks so much for the advent treat of more videos and hope you still get enough time to spend with your family

It's not just rocket launcher, it's literally remake of Space Shuttle! And launch pads all were by the sea in a green place, Given that this space program was cancelled in 2011😢, the presence of this ship evokes pleasant nostalgia

I'm going to have to keep the big lot where the military base is for the save file I'm not taking in CAW as I can't remove the road so might as well have it lead somewhere, but for the one with the CAWed-version of the world I've removed the whole area. But then, a bit before that fork in the road that leads to the military base, there is another street with a bunch of empty lots, that I'm thinking can easily become a rural area. 🤔 I might add a sunflower field there (not sure, I'm trying not to do too much in CAW or else I'll never be done 😅) Oh yeah that's great idea for the Wolff's, will do! Haha, yep I won't get to the school and PD right away, but the lot I have in mind for Christmas is a biiiig one. Also it makes me want to eat ice cream every time I see it (and it's cold here ^^ )

If you're gonna renovate the city hall, you should add a wedding arch in a room so sims can get married there! :D

That's a great idea! I'll try to incorporte the arch in the decor. I was thinking of doing a courthouse there, but that might be weird to get married where trials happen 🤔 so maybe more in the judge's office? Or since the lot is big maybe do a gazebo area in the garden with the wedding arch there...

I do have one near the beach : Unabridged. Well technically it's a poolside club but they can dance there (and try not to fall in the swimming pool while doing so 😋 )

i applaud you bc i started a renovation for barnacle bay and i did like two houses and gave up and deleted the save

Oh, did you do the houses there with a particular vibe in mind? I've never played in Barnacle Bay but for a while I''ve been planning to do something there, most likely with a period vibe (don't know yet what period though 😅)

@@Tedhi I redid nina and dina's house to start, because it's absolutely void of their original character or personalities. I also gave the sims makeovers. But I'm very weird about decorating and obsessed with clutter and perfecting every room, so it takes entirely too long. I think I also started the house and family next to them because I wanted to do it by neighborhood, but gosh it's just a really daunting and overcomplicated task!!! Your sunset valley series is very inspiring though, the dedication you've had to almost fully complete the town and make it look so much more beautiful and upgraded is really amazing!! It inspires me to sometime hop back in and try to redo a world of my own, but I just have no dedication or committment to tasks haha. Love your videos!! :)

I'm trying not to build too much as it's a renovating project so I'll leave it as it is. I'm thinking the lot can easily be build on later so that each player can make it their own 😀

I hope this doesn't sound patronising but your english is sooo good. Using all the phrases 'more or less' 'work in progress'. I don't think my french will ever be that good

Haha, no it doesn't sound patronising at all, that's very sweet actually , thank you ^^. Hehe, I can help you there, well for these two phrases at least 😉: 'more or less' is 'plus ou moins' and 'WIP' can usually be translated either by 'en construction' (as in being built) or ' pas fini' (as in not being finished yet) and voilà ! :-)

I think the 3 military, police station and political careers together is super nice idea for the empty lots why not use the placeable lots from the bin from other packs like town life stuff (the laundry mat) , showtime (the karaoke community lot) for the kids park town life stuff has some good play sets you can use for that lot and for the bistro community lot can you make a version of it to include the store item object that lets you make ur own playable restaurant

I think I'll do both the political career and military base in the same lot, not the police though as I have it elsewhere ^^ I'm actually thinking of using that kiddie park (the one from Generations I think) as a base to renovate on one of the lot. It's very colorful, and could be a sort of fun park I think 🤔 So this worls is going to be Store Item free; as it gets a bit complicated when sharing a world with items from the Store. I think a lot they can easily be added in your own game if you wish to, like for instance the basket ball court at the school. I've placed the ping-pong tables there, but they can be moved and replaced by the basket ball hoop 🏀

For the old Wolfe lot you can make it a resort owned by them it can also be on the the 60x60 lot

An idea for the Central Park is that you can put the showtime performance stage on the lot so you can have the shows

Hi, xbox Simmer! that's what I do whenever I play in Sunset Valley! I use the festival park of Starlight Shores so shows can take place there instead of the performance park

How did you upload Sunset Valley in the CAW? It would be so cool to join Sunset Valley with Bridgeport and connect them through the bridge!

So there is a website CAWster with plenty of ressources to use in CAW, files of EA worlds included, and I got Sunset Valley from there :-) Wow that sounds fun but would make for one gigantic world!! I'm more in the smaller-better camp when it comes to Sims worlds. It's easier to play and if my sims want to go to Bridgeport, I'll have them visit there via Traveller mod or just move them there for a bit and play them as tourists 😎 ^^

Oh it's a mod, Traveler is by Twallan, available on NRaas industries. It's been a while since I've used it but I think you do need at least Master Controller (other mod by Twallan) and to turn a lot to a base camp in the destination world (that's easily done in Edit town, the option is available with Traveler installed). It's been a while since I've used it so I'm not the best to talk about it but there is a ton of info about it out there.
