Amen, we once were lost, now we are found

I absolutely relate.I know God works through the Robertson family.I sat down one day and started watching and I was reminded of the family I grew up with.I listen to Phil s Podcast.Im so thankful to be reminded that Gods love is deeper than my past sins.

Brother Derrick, i am praying for you, the Lord is with you, Hebrews says, He never leaves nor forsakes His children never. He knows exactly what you are going through. Psalms 40:1. God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Ps. 68:19. Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, The God who is our salvation. Isaiah 41:10. Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes i will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Brother be encouraged in the Lord, and His word of truth. Even if you don't feel like it, i encourage you start reading the psalms and don't stop till the peace of God fills your heart. Confirm God's word in your heart, say to yourself, Ps. 42:11. Why are you cast down o my soul, and why are you disquieted within me, Hope in God, For i shall yet praise Him, For He is my Savior and my God. I pray that the Lord will strengthen you in the inner man and keep your heart and mind on Him, i pray that the Holy Spirit of God by whom you are sealed until the day of redemption will minister to you of His love He has for you and has poured His love in your heart. Romans 5:5. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Brother i am 65 years old, and have known the Lord for 40 years, and have gone through many trials and testings and troubles in those 40 years. Most of the troubles i have caused myself because i did not humble myself before the Lord and did not walk in obedience to His word of truth like i should have, but i sinned greatly against the Lord. I broke up my family with four children, God had used my wife to bring me to Him and He saved my soul before we got married, but after 3 years of being on fire for Him i fell back in drugs from which He had delivered me when He first saved me and my life for the next 37 years was literally hell on earth for me until finally i learned by the mighty hand of God's power and love to walk humbly before Him, and trust Him not only with my life, but my wife's life, my childrens lives, their families, with my many physical troubles, and ailments, and everything alse in my life, but truth be told my life is not mine 1Corinthians 6:19-20. Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own. For you were bought with the price, therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit which are God's. My flesh doesn't like this truth, and the only way to have victory over my flesh is to walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:16. Walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfill the lust of your flesh. By God's grace and as i submit to the Holy Spirit i now walk in the Spirit and not in the lust of the flesh, and the Holy Spirit is mortifying the deeds of my flesh more and more in the ongoing sanctification until the Lord takes me home. I praise God, He is truly faithful and will accomplish his good work He has begun in His children. Philippians 1:6. Derrick i didn't intend to share my life here, but i hope the Lord will use it to minister to you that He is with you and that He loves you and that He will see you through your hard times now and the trials you are going through right now, He always uses our troubles and trials to make us more and more like our Lord Jesus Christ and really thats what our redeemed soul wants the most right, lean wholly on Him brother. My mom and dad passed away also i could not go and see them before they died nor was i able to go to their funerals. To this day my heart aches when i think about it. They lived in Europe, Kosovo in the former country of Yugoslavia. I don't know if my dad was saved or not i have witnessed to him about the gospel of Christ and my mom also in 1980 not long after the Lord saved me, my mom believed the gospel and gave her life to the Lord at that time but my dad didn't. I hope he called on the Lord before he died that's my hope because i have prayed for His salvation always. My family is Muslim and i grew up as a Muslim. I left the country in 1973, and came to U.S. IN 1974. Anyway i hope i didn't bore you telling you all this. The fact remains the Lord afflicted me chastised me, and scourged me real good. Ps. 119:67. Before i was afflicted i went astray but now i obey Your word, vr. 71, It was good for me that i was afficted, that i may learn your statutes. I praise God that He loves me enough to never reject me because i am in Christ, and His righteousness covers me and because of that i am accepted in His beloved Son Jesus, and the Father bids me to come boldly before His throne of grace that i might obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Heb. 4:16. And so i do daily and now i trust Him completely no matter what He has or will allow in my life. Rom. 8:28. God causes ALL things to work together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. He will conform us into the image of His beloved Son Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. Brother receive the blessing of the lord. Numbers 6:24-26. The Lord bless you and keep you, The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious unto you, The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace. Father i pray and ask you that you will draw Derrick unto you and minister your love that you have for him to his soul. Holy Spirit of God, comfort him, strengthen him, pour your peace upon him, direct him to your word and prayer as you enable him to rest in You and your promises of your word. Lord remind him that you will never leave him nor forsake him, continually fill his heart with faith, hope, and love. Lord i pray as he looks for work, lead him to the job you want him to have that would be a blessing to him and he would be a blessing to his boss and coworkers. Thank you Father that you truly are our Father, and you always want what's best for us, may we always be thankful and grateful to you that we can truly rest in your loving care that you have for us your adopted children and joint heirs with your beloved Son Jesus Christ our Lord. We look forward to be with you someday forever and ever to worship you, adore you, and serve you in your heavenly Kingdom. Amen.

I’m so sorry Derrick, break down the day if you have to, when you wake up ask the Lord to get you to noon, then 3:00, then evening, then bedtime. You may have to do this for who knows how long, but we’re not promised tomorrow, so just live it day by day, with the Lord’s help, you’ll make it and come out stronger. He’ll heal you’re broken heart. God be with you. Amen

@Free Thinker i use to think the same.. then i found jesus... if he can save me. I promise he will he save you.... i use to be an awful man... heck i wasn't a real back then. But in my lowest point i found the right path.. drugs, alcohol, and anything else i could my hands on was my normal... now days im the happiest man in the world... please alow me to talk to you.. I'll be happy to tell you the story that saved my life... honestly ill telll you my story if you will tell me yours... as a piece of garbage God saved me and that exact moment my life changed for the better. Im not a troll. But would love to here your story and after that you may what i seen.. if not you might lose 30 min of your life.... but maybe those 30 min might change your entire life. Pretty good chance to take if that means you may end up clean an happy. If not you only lost 30 min of your life
