You bring a tear to my eyes. I miss playing. I had to quit because I didn't protect my hearing. Now I'm paying the price with tinnitus. Free advice to anyone who will take it - protect your hearing. If you TAKE my advice you may probably never thank me. But if you don't - you will probably wish you did.

I think I've seen only about 15% of the videos she's made, so I could be wrong, but this is the first time I've seen her play an entire song with eyes closed, clearly on another plane,, lost in the music. I think she's more than just a mechanical talent. She GETS it.
@gregbr100
@gregbr100 3 жыл бұрын
I've seen all 437+(the + is for videos on other channels) videos and Sina appears to play with her eyes closed in parts of many of them; none more so than on this one. The only time she needs to see is when she plays the bell. If you think about it her movements are much too rapid to follow even when her eyes are open. She plays by muscle memory and and natural instinct and eyes are not required most of the time.

I'm not sure what folks are missing here... this musician is tightly engaged in the task at hand... the method and the attention for detail don't allow for smiling... rather the musician expresses the gut feeling of the effort put forth... that is what a live performance is all about... it's about the feel, the groove or harmony that's brought forth... yes I'm a fan of her talent... yes I'd like to encourage her to persevere.. what father of a daughter wouldn't be proud... do any of the critics have the kahonas to do better...I think not... keep rocking girl, you're awesome and don't let anyone say otherwise...

Thank you so much for doing these videos. They are so awesome. I had no idea how complex the drum track was on this song. You normally consider ZZ Top to be a guitar driven band, but this shows so well how the drum drives this song. Outstanding video isolation work as well. You get a good idea how the bass pedal relates to the rest of the drumming.

In principle that is just jamming without much structure, but it is an ultra-cool "song". Especially in the version with the Easy Rider footage. It is as if that is the soundtrack of the movie. Another superb video is Chris Hadfield's cover of "Space Oddity". When David Bowie wrote a song in 1968 about a man floating in a tin can, far above the world, planet earth is blue and there's nothing Ieft to do, he surely did not imagine that one day his song would be song by a man floating in a tin can (ISS), far above the world, looking down (from the cupola) on planet earth is blue and there's nothing Ieft to do before returning to earth.

Of course I'll get blasted for saying this, but (although this girl has worked hard on developing her skills) she is clearly getting all of this attention, simply because she is a girl!! Make no mistake about it! I'm a high band teacher, have been now for 12 years. And in that time I have seen about 8 or 9 boys (in my high school alone) that are JUST AS GOOD AS HER!! A couple MUCH better! But if any of those boys put videos on KZfaq covering classic songs, NONE of them would get remotely the same amount of attention this young lady gets......simply because she is a female. I'm not saying she's not talented....she is......all I'm saying is comments on here (drooling over her skill set like it is unheard of for her age) is simply NOT true. People are gushing over her simply because she is a girl! I promise you that nearly EVERY high school in this country has at least one boy that is just as good as her (maybe better). So let's not get carried away just because she has an extra X chromosome.

@Bone Slayer awwww.....did poor little SJW get triggered by the trut?h....does little snowflake need a safe-space and some crayons?.....was me telling the truth about this girl a "micro-aggression" LOL....that was the biggest load of virtue signaling horseshit I've ever read LOL. Why are you "white-knighting" so hard for this little girl?? kind of creepy......And your "male-shaming" argument is old and out-dated......I'm not suppose to tell the truth just because she might make more money than me?? So I guess in your world, men who have working class jobs are not entitled to have their own opinions??? You're just mad because everything i said is true, and you can't handle it.

I have to say Sina's timing is just phenomenal. She plays such complex rhythms and never drops the beat. I recently started to watch her videos and i think she is just fantastic. This is someone who just lives her life through music and it is amazing that it is shared with so many people around the world. She comes across as a really nice person who is humble and modest and unlike others not full of her own self importance . Sina, you keep doing what you doing! Lady you Rock! It is pure joy listening to you play. Thank you

All that and barefoot. Too good! This tune came out when I was about her age. To me, La Grange is ageless, and Sina does it honor. Bravo! Excellent work. It is also gratifying to see young peeps who appreciate the music I grew up listening to. I could afford very little music in those days, but I had a copy of Tres Hombres - still have it somewhere.

It takes a video like this to appreciate what goes into the drumming for this song, and how dedicated and precise Sina is in her playing. This really is better than the original, and worth watching over and over. Also: a nice ad lib coda, something we get from Sina from time to time.

sina is awesome she is 20 even thow she looks alot younger .she has alot of talent and can play other instruments as well as her friends .they have all gone to music school and work very hard to give us many great songs . please do me a favor and if u give other famous people comments let them know how much u also injoy sina-drums@thegirlsgotgroove so we can help get her noticed and bring all her talent to another level.thanks america would be so much better with a generation full of people as great as sina and her friends .and if money is tight at least we can each support her by telling everyone how much you enjoy sina and her music also by sending her link sina-drums@thegirlsgotgroove to other celeberties who may like to enjoy what she shares with us everyday and also how much enjoyment we could get from seeing her play with someone like your favorite band ..now wouldent that take ur breath away ? ...btw sina has 343 youtube videos and 832k subscribers thank you for your support and adds she appreaciate it .thank you another sina fan jerry
