Sinampalukang Manok is one of our favorite Filipino soup recipes. I put some twist by adding Calamansi juice and lots of tomatoes, but the main ingredient is tamarind. It’s a flavorful chicken soup that everybody in my household loves. Below is the list of ingredients.
SINAMPALUKANG MANOK
2.77 lb Chicken Legs
1.06 lb Chicken Breast
2-3 Tomatoes
3/4 C Tamarind Paste, dissolved or crushed in 1 C hot water.
1-2 Green Chili
4-5 Baby Bokchoy
1/4 C Soy sauce
1/2 tsp Ground black pepper
1 tbsp Salt, to taste
1 stalk Lemongrass, crushed
3-inche Ginger, crushed
1 medium-sized Red Onion
4 1/2 C Water
3 tbsp Calamansi juice
**NOTE**
COOKING is all about your taste. Adjust accordingly.
