I gonna try saying this as politely and lovingly as possibly. My wife (47) isnt into anything indepth, and definitely not into conspiracy. She has never heard of the Mandela Effect. I asked her if she knows the actor Sinbad. Her reply was "yeah he was in that 'genie movie'."... As a side note i also remember it. I even remember when the Shaq movie came out after, and i made a complaint to my buddy that they were just copying off the Sinbad original movie.

Conspiracy brain time: Shazaam doesnt exist anymore because the studio like DC bought up the rights, and since it only ran on cable and probably didnt have a home video release, DC sued the crap out of the creators of the movie, and NDAed everyone involved including Sinbad. Wouldnt be the first time. Ever heard of the porn parody Super Hornio Bros? No? Ron Jeremy starred in a Mario porn parody. Nintendo bought the rights and buried it. Now its lost media. Hornio 2 was made and it featured footage of part 1 which is all the footage that exists of it. Another funny point. Most people that remember shazaam, didn’t like the movie enough to pay a lot of attention to it or watch it more than once or twice. So naturally, people will only remember one or two scenes.

What's weird is I don't even know why I would know who he is without that movie. The only other movie that comes to mind is Jingle all the way but I wouldn't have even remembered he was in that if I hadn't seen it recently, but can't figure out what I recognize him from if not Shazaam.

I had the movie and watched it many times on vhs when I was a kid. He must’ve got screwed over that’s why he denies it.

A) Maybe it was a televised movie only. B) Maybe it was for rent only and recalled before being sold. C) Maybe it was a trailer for a Shazaam movie but it was never released because of Kazaam. Maybe there was incriminating evidence on somebody in the movie so it was pulled before people could buy it. Either way, I am 100% confident I saw it.

At the time that Shazam!! starring Sinbad came out, I was working in a video store. I knew that Kazaam was already a movie, and wondered why they would make another movie that was so very similar in such a short time. I believe it doesn’t exist NOW. But I do remember the movie as a kid. I don’t know why so many people don’t believe that it was real at some point. It’s not like I was a massive Sinbad fan and I was just dying to see him in a genie movie that I made it up in my mind. Lol. Also I’ve never heard of Shazam outside of Sinbad playing the character. I didn’t know until I was almost an adult that it was a Marvel comic book character, so where else would I have heard the name Shazam from? I was fortunate enough to hang out (virtually) with Sinbad during the SuperBowl game commentery between Atlanta and New England he did on Twitter in live time, and talk to him multiple times about the genie movie before his stroke. The guy is a great sport and truly awesome person...he says he never made the movie and I never asked him about it again, though I did rib him about it sometimes. I helped the College Humor guys write the April Fool's day video and thought it came out great! I hope he recovers fully and have offered him to write the script for free if he ever wants to perform in a remake of this missing movie...I hope he takes me up on it.

Sindbad is mad because an alternative universe Sinbad did and got paid for it and may have a better life, alternative Sinbad might have a worse life but the grass is always greener on the othe side! There's some good circumstantial evidence that this movie existed (in another universe and the people who remember it also came across). I've not seen this movie or the Shaq movie they always say their confusing it with but, this one seems to have the most people remembering it! If anyone remembers the Richard Harris movie "Golden Rendezvous" and him using dual machine pistols (there's even a review on IMDB that mentions this!) let me know - I can find no evidence this happend but, as a kid I reenacted this (after watching this) with toy guns while playing war (it was the 70s and our toy guns looked realish)
