The game was co-developed by Grasshopper Manufacturer by the way, but despite the weirdness and dark tone of the narrative, Suda51 had no involvement with it, as his team was only hired on to assist with art direction, sound design, and music (through Akira Yamaoka).

Well, the thing is, in the nature of classic shoot em fashion, the game is made to be played twice over in order to understand the full story; the new game plus tells the other half.

@@baalfgames5318 its not a good shoot'em up by any means, it's gameplay is very poorly balanced and frustrating. but I love everything about it; story, music, enemy designs, its overall proposal. its a complicated relationship.

@@leonardoferreira2372 Honestly, I'm the kind of person who can forgive some iffy gameplay decisions if I like the characters and story. It's why I don't mind Biomutant, but I cannot stand anything From Software has made because there is no way for me to like the story or my character in those. I've tried, I just can't.
